TLDR - This mod aims to make all consumable food, drink, and medical items in the game to return "scrap" to the player that matches their container upon consuming them.


In the Main version:

Packaged food items like Cram, Potato Crisps, and Sugar Bombs will now return the empty box back to you, to be used as extra scrap, because who doesn't want an inventory full of empty boxes! All Nuka-Cola variants now return an empty Nuka-Cola bottle, and now consuming any Gwinnet alcoholic beverage will return the corresponding bottle: Pale, Stout, Brew, Ale, Lager or Pilsner. All Spirits return their empty bottle, and certain bottles with a cork now return cork back to the player! Immersion! Nuka-Cola and various alcoholic beverages have also been tweaked to Decrease or Increase player thirst in Survival mode. Kick your alcohol addictions or become extra susceptible to dry mouth! Along with this are new crafting recipes at any cooking station, these will give you the option to combine dirty water and certain Junk containers into Purified Water that can be used more than once until your container is empty. Waste not, want not!


Optional "Chem Recipe" Main file:

For the optional "Chem Recipe" version of the mod, I've added a "Refill" category to the Chemistry Workbench that will allow you to use up your newly acquired empty chem vessels! These recipes allow you to use the corresponding empty chem container in place of the usually required scrap, an Empty Stimpak now replaces the steel usually required in the recipe. These recipes DO NOT replace the original recipes, however as above they are now under the new "Refill" tab!
Also added in this optional file is a craft-able "Empty Syringe". Under the Utilities tab at any Chemistry Workbench, the Syringe can be crafted and used. Once used, you will be returned a "Filled Syringe", this can be used in a new Recipe to craft a Bloodpack! You can also use the Filled Syringe to regain a small amount of health, and using the Empty Syringe in-turn will also make you lose a small amount of health.

These all have weights that seemed fitting, going off the base weight of the junk item + 1 weight for each "charge." All can be crafted at a cooking station with the required amount of dirty water, and the correct container.

The original mod:

This is a more complete version of my Original Mod, "Stop Eating Scrap!", this version is intended for those that want the extra additions like multiple use water containers and edits to alcohol to increase thirst upon consumption in Survival Mode.

As of this upload, the older version will become depreciated. This version will now be the main version I work on as the "original" version does what I originally wanted it to do, but this version of the mod will gradually add more tweaks and editions to make the scrap you get back from food and drinks, have even more uses. I will also be adding compatibility patches to a number of mods along the way, that means this mod will work alongside mods like "Wasteland Imports" and "Point Lookout."

If you only wish to have the effects of the core mod, please download the original, though as stated it will no longer be updated as it achieved it's intended goal.
