Castle City brings the vanilla location we all known to a new standard and transforms the Minutemen's presence in the Commonwealth region.

Castle City has the vanilla Castle location to become a full blown settlement similar to standards of Diamond City. Come explore the area that we all used to know that has grown and thrived since the fall of the Institute and the Brotherhood of Steel.

This is an end game location/ future quest. DO NOT INSTALL AND EXPECT VANILLA QUESTS TO WORK AT THIS LOCATION.

What Castle City *currently* brings to the Commonwealth:
- A new settlement & headquarters to explore in relation to the Minutemen
- Additional Minutemen forces that boost the numbers of its militia
- Over 30 new characters to the Commonwealth
- 8 new vendors that conduct trade with the travelling merchants
- Farm land that provides for the residents of Castle City
- An Inn that allows travelers to rest and acts as a temporary home for the travelling merchants
- A restaurant and bar
- A new barber
- A functional elevator

New areas to the vanilla Castle location:
- The Outskirts is the first line of defense of Castle City. It includes guard posts as well as a butcher and cattle farm
- Outer Castle Wall hosts the the travelling merchants as wells as Castle City's farm land
- Castle City is the main hub for this region of the Commonwealth with its vendors boosting trade with the local population as well as the travelling merchants
- Minutemen Headquarters is the new and strategic location for the Minutemen to plan their expanse, defenses, and strikes on enemies

Future plans for Castle City:
- A full main quest that follows the Minutemen ending of vanilla Fallout 4
- Side quests to bring additional life to Castle City and the rest of the Commonwealth
- Fully round out dialogue for all new characters and quests using AI
- Custom items, weapons, outfits and other meshes to bring new life
- An updated radio station
- Any updates that completely round out the experience of Castle City

Installation:
- Just open up the zip folder and manually place the data folder into Fallout 4's directory
* This mod does contain work from other mod authors that gave me the go ahead to design with their assets - BUT, that means you will need to download their mods to have the full Castle City experience - future updates will attempt to make the installation more streamlined, but for now you will also need to download the following mods...

DISCLAIMER - at the time of developing this mod I wasn't aware that I needed permission to design with these author's creations. I had assumed it was the same rules as creating in game with mods. I cannot express how thankful I am to the mod authors above for allowing me to use there work and the product as it stands wouldn't be possible without their creations. If at any time the authors above want me to remove their work from my mod I will without question.

The story of how this mod came to be:
It all started in game when developing settlements... Castle was easily the most unique location in the game in my perspective and felt that it deserved more love.
I had gone to school to study design and the first draft of this mod was created in game during that time, probably during 2018ish. During the process of designing the settlement in this location it really became a fun way to flex my creative muscle and I ran with it. I began looking for other mods that could help expand this location and was inspired from "Castle Tunnels - Settlement and Restoration" by Popay55.
But, a couple years later during 2020 after I was laid off with a lot of time on my hands (like many others), I decided that I wanted to learn how to mod my favorite game of all time. From the experiences of developing settlements in game - I thought it would be awesome to learn how to make a town in a similar aspect of Diamond City (a huge design inspiration). 3 years of development on the side and finally, the result that I present to you now.
