This mod adds bullet drop and time till impact scaled from real world values. I have made a Vanilla version and Versions for True Damage and/or Munitions

Explanation

  • Bullets will now have time till impact and bullet drop to make things a little more difficult while shooting at long ranges.
  • Every bullet will have a different speed and drop rate.
  • The intent is to add a sense of progression to the rounds.
  • Now damage isn't the only variable to factor.
  • Patches for True Damage and Munitions are included.gg

Math:

  • I didn't want the 5.56mm to go 5x faster than the projectile I base everything off (.38) so I used a scale factor to ensure it was only around 2.5x faster
  • The effective range for a 5.56mm is 6x further than the .38, I scaled it down so it will only travel about 2.5x farther than the .38 projectile
  • the scaling factor was applied to every other round to compensate for the world scaling and render distance limitations.

My Intentions:
If you're using a mod that enables one-shot or two-shot kills for most characters, even at extended distances, there might not seem to be a compelling reason to opt for rifle rounds instead of pistol rounds, especially if the difference in damage between them is minimal. The goal of my mod is to introduce greater variability between ammunition types, giving you a distinct rationale for selecting rifle or pistol rounds. Pistols will excel in close-quarters combat, but when engaging targets at a distance, using a .38 caliber might prove to be significantly more challenging. Conversely, the 50-caliber option will exhibit minimal drop-off, making it the preferred choice for long-range confrontations.

Pros:
  • Does'nt add any new records to the esp.
  • The muzzle flash will not show while using the suppressor (the handmade rifle plays the muzzle flash with the suppressor in vanilla).
  • Only touches the Projectile records so its compatible the True Damage and most of munitions out of the box.
Cons:
  • Less variety while using different rounds especially rifle rounds, for instance,  a .50cal will have the same trajectory as a .45-70.
