About this mod

Patches S7 Skill System and FROST to work together, while trying to keep FROST perk effects balance and S7 skill requirements for perks, with expections. Doesn't change S7 skill effects.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Please note that my patch heavily influences FROST balance, pacing and experience in general, and probably breaks it at least in some aspects. While the goal of it was to stay close to FROST vision as possible, the impact of skills and changes to perks is so extensive that it may not be achievable.

I am not officially connected to the FROST development team, FROST Plus team or S7 Skill System author in any way.

Patch is made for FROST Official Updates v2.2.2 and S7 Skill System v0.6.4-BETA. Additional patch for FROST Plus v0.5.2 and some other FROST-related mods (check optional files).

Short summary of the main changes
- FROST changes to vanilla perks effects are combined with S7's perks requirements.

S7:
- Skill requirements for all perks are changed to match FROST changes to stat requirements.
- New perks effects are changed to match FROST vision on perk effects.
- Adamantium Skeleton and Solar Powered (Day Walker) traits were both split in two, one can be taken at the start, and one later. I felt like health regen and 90% limb damage reduction take away from early game survival experience.

FROST:
- Conceptually, Sound of Mind fits S7 traits perfectly, so it now can be only selected as a trait at the start. Other new FROST perks are kept as they were and have no skill requirements. Consider them to be traits that you can take during the game, unlike S7 starter traits.
- New intimidate perk actions now rely on Speech skill, not Charisma, and some give Speech XP.

FROST Plus:
- Keeps S7 effects for Inspirational perk in place of FROST Plus

Most notable exceptions
There are cases where S7's approach was kept or other changes were made because of the following reasons:
- Most on-hit effects from perks need a lot of work to properly implement for S7 System. You still can get most of them, they just belong to S7 new perks now.
Example: pretty much all weapon-related perks.

- Some FROST perk bonuses are nerfed or removed to keep overall player strength the same when counting the bonuses from skills and S7 perks, especially those that are multiplicative.
Examples: Warrior Monk (lower damage - Unarmed skill already gives it, and they multiply each other), Gunslinger / Commando / Rifleman (range bonus is removed - it is already present in S7 new perks).

- If FROST nerfs vanilla bonus, but it was already nerfed by S7 for a reason mentioned above, it is not nerfed further if it'll be too low and awkward for the player to see any appeal.
Example: Big Leagues 2 (and 3-5 too). Vanilla damage bonus is 40%, FROST's is 30%, and S7's is 10%. Damage bonus in my patch would be like 8%. Instead, I nerfed the chance to cripple the enemy.

- Gunslinger is split in two perks, so that I could set weapon skill requirements accordingly. Gunslinger now only buffs pistols, and a new perk for shotguns is called Shotgunner.

- There's a distinction between ballistic and energy weapons skills in S7, and it translates to perks as well. I kept it.
Example: FROST weapon perks give bonuses only to ballistic weapons, as in S7.

If there are no problems mentioned, the perk effect remains 100% identical to FROST. If not, other things are changed to keep overall perk value closer to FROST.

Please share your thoughts on balance and experience in the comments. As long as I'm still interested in Fallout, I will be open to change some things.

Issues:
- Skill XP gain may need to be adjusted in S7's MCM. It can be too low or too high for FROST balance in some cases.
- You probably should disable Skyrim-style perk point gain from skill XP in S7's MCM. Otherwise your character will be overpowered for FROST experience.

This is my first patch of such huge size, and it turned out to be way bigger than I expected, especially because of script edits. Thanks to everyone above for the inspiration to go through with it <3
