    FAQs

    The new v3.0+ Rebuild mods are like a new mod so do not to upgrade mid save from an older version.

    The new versions were redone to work with Fallout 4 Next Gen but do not require it.

    All Rebuild mods are provided as-is. I no longer support them.


    1. Load order?

    PPF.esm (This is part of PRP if you are using it)
    Rebuild - Shared Resources - Put this high in your load order. It is all new stuff and will not conflict with any other mods.
    Any mods that alter landscape (Many Rebuild mods alter the landscape so you want them to win the conflict)
    Rebuild AIO or Standalones
    Rebuild Patches (excluding Previsibine patches) - Also check the file description as I normally put load orders there for the patches...

  • Troubleshooting

    Issue #1: The old structures are overlapping the repaired structures or stuff (like trash) is still there that shouldn't be.

    Information: This is 100% a load order issue or a conflict with another mod that makes changes to the same area. Read the FAQs and the Previsibines and PRP article for more information on figuring out your load order. Example: 

    Solution: The Rebuild_SettlementName_Previs.esp file MUST BE AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR LOAD ORDER. The order of the previs files if you use multiple standalones does not matter EXCEPT for Sanctuary, Starlight and Red Rocket. The order is Red Rocket, Sanctuary and then Starlight last.

    Issue #2: Things are blinking in and out of existence.

  • Previsibines and PRP

    Previsibines is a slang term for previs/precombines which are a couple of ways that the game improves performance.

    PRP refers to Previsibines Repair Pack (PRP) Stable Branch. This mod contains 2 plugins, PPF. esm which contains a ton of bug fixes, and PRP.esp which regenerates previsibines since PPF.esm breaks them.

    Precombines: Everything in the game is made from a mesh. Precombined meshes are a bunch of meshes merged into one, so instead of 10 meshes getting loaded only one does, which improves performance. If a mod changes any of the items placed in the world (also know as a reference) which has a mesh that are part of precombines, then it will "break precombines".
