The Story:

A new player in the Commonwealth, the Sky Pirates are a Raider gang with a taste for technology and the smarts to use it. They've recently refurbished the USS Constitution for their own nefarious purposes and regularly raid the commonwealth scavenging for old technology. Their newest base has been built on Spectacle Island.

Introduction:

A build I created for a contest and decided to release on Nexus. I've also added a new world space using the Fallout Settlements Expanded mod for the inside. This is another full settlement build as seen in the additional pictures. With FSE you could add even more to the build by adding a door inside the pyramid or maybe even an underground portion as well.

Some Background:

I'm not really a settlement builder but do enjoy building in Fallout 4. I create these builds for my own enjoyment, and there are no plans to update them (unless I really want to). Also, this comes as is and works fine on my pc, although other user experiences may vary. I just hope that others can enjoy using this as much as I enjoyed building it.

I also build with the idea of using as few mods as is necessary. So, most of the mods I use have been chosen because they are comprehensive and include many different pieces. I usually have many different ideas for builds in the works because ideas for one particular build may dry up or I just become bored after spending 50-60 hours on it.

*Also included are Clipboard Resurrection pattern files (pattern.ini) that are much quicker than Transfer Settlements and don't include its requirements.

Recommended Mods:(highly recommended)

Workshop Plus: (allows flying while in workshop mode among other options and makes moving around in a build much easier and really can add to your creativity) (just don't forget to shut off the workshop 5 second timer (F5) (from Place Everywhere))

Build High - Expanded Settlements 5.0: (doesn't work with Workshop Anywhere but offers 200+ floors and expanded boundaries in vanilla settlements) (great for any arial builds like skyscrapers/aircraft/spacecraft etc...)

Place Everywhere: (of course) (If I could only choose one building mod for Fallout 4, this would be it.)

Fallout Settlements Expanded: This is a great mod for adding a new world space anywhere just by adding a door. This mod adds 69 placeable load doors into the game that each link to its own fully functioning interior settlement and 31 load doors that link to vanilla settlements.

Clipboard Resurrection: Another great mod that allows you to backup to disk/restore/copy/move/rotate/scale anything from single items to complete settlements. Save patterns to disk to restore in other save games, place at other settlements, or even share with friends. This mod in combination with Place Everywhere allows you to copy almost anything in the game.

Installation: (for the blueprint)

* Make sure that you have F4SE, HUD Framework and Transfer Settlements installed.

* Extract the file "Data" and copy, then paste to your Fallout 4 game folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4).

* The outside blueprint uses Slot 31. The inside blueprint uses Room 31. If you would rather they be in different folders, extract them, then add them to different folders in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\TransferSettlements\blueprints.

* The easiest way I've found to add a blueprint is to create a shortcut to the blueprint folder and place it on my desktop. Then when I download a new blueprint, I can extract it, copy it, go right to the blueprint folder and either paste the new folder or create a new folder and place the .json file in it. Done!

Importing:

Just follow the import directions below for Clipboard Resurrection. Although, for importing the Blueprint just fast travel to Spectacle Island and begin importing.

Import the settlement via the Transfer Settlements holotape, detailed instructions on this process can be found on the Transfer Settlements mod page.

Also, before importing and to ensure the settlement imports correctly always import and export on the STABLE (preset), not normal. Then always use Marker Based, where it will open the workshop while it's importing or exporting so it simulates you actually building manually.

Special Note: A Fallout Settlements Expanded room opens into a settlement build space including a workshop, 6 pieces of wooden flooring, and an exit door. Your import will include all these items when finished. To avoid any overlap with the wooden flooring I raised one in front of the door and scrapped the rest. After the import I just scrapped the remaining piece. If not using Workshop Plus, you'll need something to stand on.

To import, enable the following options from within the holotape:

*[Enable Import DLC items
*[Enable Import mod-added items

*[Enable Import or nuke marker-based items
*[Enable Import wired power connections
*[Enable Restore snapped power connections

Using the Clipboard Resurrection pattern file:

After extracting the files from your download, copy/paste the Clipboard pattern (pattern.ini) to a folder located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\Clipboard.

As in the Special Note for importing the Blueprint, there will still be the wooden flooring. After choosing "Move To Pattern Source Location" the platform will be slightly elevated. So, you can just scrap all the wooden flooring before the import.

Then while in game:

* Build the clipboard tool.
* Choose "Move To Pattern Source Location" in the action menu first.
* Then choose "Paste From Clipboard".

Special Note: Remember, there are over 3000 objects that need to render. Wait till everything is highlighted in blue, then you can destroy the Clipboard Tool. After importing the blueprint don't immediately save the game.  The papyrus function needs time to catch up with all the changes that were made, and your game will freeze until it finishes. This process may take 5 minutes then it will save your game. It's best to let it finish.

Special Note: In the Clipboard version you'll need to hook up the wires for the power and guns and a few lights. I've included pictures of each to show where they are. The pump house for water is just for looks. You'll still get the water if you hook it up or not. The guns will need to be connected to the generators at their base. The generators for the build are on top of the main building that need to be hooked up as seen in the picture. The Yellow Table Lamps are on the inside portion and just need to be selected and released.

Special Note: I encountered an interesting effect after exiting the Fallout Settlements Expanded room. It seems the lighting is much more intense than it should be. The cell just needs to be reloaded. The easy fix is to fast travel somewhere and return or just reload the game.

Special Note: If you enjoy building in Fallout 4 and are on Facebook, the best building groups I've found are the Fallout 4 Settlement Building and Fallout 4: Commonwealth Creators groups. They include some of the best builders in the Fallout community. They also include builders of all skill levels and can answer any questions you might have about mods, materials, or techniques used for building in Fallout 4.
