Changelogs
Version 1.8.2
Mostly Navmesh repair... Cleaned up the entrances to Tip-Toe Inn and Snipers Retreat. If your last save was at a SkyCamp with a lift, you may have to leave the area to re-set the lift.
Version 1.2.0
Added a new Tram to the Cambridge Central Location. If your last save was at this location, you will have to leave the area and return to reset the Tram
SkyCamps Survival Save-Points was created to give Survivors a safe place to save their games. These camps are placed in strategic locations, on the elevated highways, throughout the Wasteland. Each SkyCamp is an Oasis in the Sky, with a solid roof, and a water supply... Benches for Cooking, Chemistry, and Power Armor, allow for extended stays...Map Markers, visible on start-up, and descriptive names, make them easy to find.
1. Cambridge Central: Overlooks Cambridge and the Corvega Plant 2. Tip Toe Inn: Close to Zimonja 3. The Pavillion: Overlooks Parsons State (The new Enclave Quest starts nearby) 4. River Watch: Overlooks Forest Grove Marsh, and the river 5. Snipers Retreat: Overlooks University Center and Jamaica Plains... You can Snipe the ghouls in Jamaica Plains from here.
Note: Elevated highways and NPC's historically don't get along. SkyCamps are all Navmeshed, and have markers for your followers, but you should always be alert when leading your friends into Skycamps...Precautions have been taken in the immediate camp areas to keep everyone safe, so if you are careful entering, and stay relatively close to camp, you should have no problems. The best strategy is to avoid travelling distances on the highways with an NPC... Designers didn't put much effort into meshing these, and in some places there is no mesh at all. With a little bit of scouting, you can learn which routes are safe, and which ones should be avoided.
Lights: If you enter a SkyCamp and the lights seem dim, they are more than likely not on... This is a strange phenomenon, and I have no idea why it occurs. But over time I have come up with a FIX...This is a Cell Border problem. If you approach your camp from the wrong direction, then your lights won't come on... The FIX is simple, you can't see the cell Border, but it doesn't matter. Most SkyCamps have enough room to do this without going down to the ground... An example would be Cambridge Central, if your lights are not on here, head towards Greygarden on the same Tier as camp. When you run out of road, turn around and go back, and your lights will be on. Silly I know, but this is effectively your light switch... This applies to all outdoor cells in the game by the way, so please don't blame SkyCamps.
