About this mod

Adds a few warlock armors from Destiny 2 as both casual and armor options for Male Shepard to wear in LE2.

Changelogs
This mod will add three new armor and casual appearances for Male Shepard directly to the armor locker, curated from a small selection of Warlock Armors from Destiny 2.

I've ported the following sets:
  • Streetscholar
  • Braytech Suit
  • Inspector's
I custom tinted these in Blender to be mostly red and black to match Shepard's N7 theme.

I also did not port the helmets.  I might in the future, but there are no current plans to do so as the helmets provided in vanilla and Expanded Shepard's Armory fit well with these sets.

I WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY REQUESTS OR SUGGESTIONS ON WHICH ARMORS TO PORT.
Why?  Here are a few reasons:

  • Destiny's shader system is much more complex than Mass Effect's, so certain details of the armor will be lost when converting these sets to a Diffuse-Specular-Normal texture system.  There are some details I can preserve in some cases, such as some emissive effects (and you can see many of my Destiny 2 ports in action in Project Variety LE3), but iridescence and other effects are lost.
  • Sets with lots of dangling/handing parts are notoriously difficult to weight, as Mass Effect has no cloth physics, and thus, clipping will be a major issue.  There are some ways I can mitigate this, but not all animations will be perfect, especially since Shepard has a lot of movement.
  • Many of the more complex sets have lots of transparent elements that cannot be translated to Mass Effect, since they are governed by transparency textures/masks.  I can fix this with some texture editing on the diffuse, but it's really a band-aid solution and doesn't actually fix the problem and instead hides it.
  • I don't typically take modding requests.  Instead, if you are interested in a specific set, try porting it yourself.  The tools are free.

I made this mod for fun because I like the idea of having "long coat armors" and chose armors that fit that theme.  Don't like it?  Don't download it and scroll and move on.

LE3 version here: Cleric's Warlock Armors for Male Shepard (LE3)

NOTES:
There are no plans to make a Female Shepard version.
The Shepard in the pics is my custom Shepard and I will not be posting him as a separate mod.

COMPATIBILITY:
No known incompatibilities.

RECOMMENDED MODS:
Since this mod adds these armors as TORSO options, a mod like WiredTexan's Emperor's Clothes (LE2) - Invisible Armor Parts or Expanded Shepard's Armory is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in order to use other armor parts without clipping.  I personally recommend using ESA!

REQUIREMENTS:
None, although a mod that includes invisible armor pieces is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

INSTALLATION:
Install with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager.  You may download the mod through the mod manager option or manually drag the file onto the mod manager after downloading.  Choose the IMPORT option when prompted.  I DO NOT support manual installation.

UNINSTALLATION:
Simply either choose the disable or delete option in the Manage Target tab.  Delete removes it from the game installation completely, while disable keeps the mod installed, but unable to be read by the game.

KNOWN ISSUES:
This mod adds armors for MALE SHEPARD.  I highly recommend disabling/uninstalling this mod when on a femshep save file, or else you will have a lot of blank torso and casual entries.
There are some texture seams on these armors that I could not fully remove.
Furthermore, I always warn of clipping issues with all my outfit mods and ports.  These especially will have a greater chance of clipping in some animations, but I tried to ensure things like combat, dialogue, and general movement were smooth as possible.  Head and neck might also clip with some animations.
Finally, some of the weapon sockets clip into these armors.  Again, not something I can easily fix.
