About this mod

This mod randomizes the chosen casualties during the Suicide Mission's Approach Phase instead of following a strict order.

This mod is a standalone port from Risky Suicide Mission's randomized death system for the Suicide Mission's Approach Phase.

55tumbl has granted me permission to make this standalone version. I'd highly recommend checking out the base mod above since it majorly overhauls the entire Suicide Mission and makes the experience even more nerve-racking.

Always seeing Jack die from the laser is getting old...

What this mod does is grant you a certain amount of fear by having the one who dies randomly chosen during the upgrade checks.

This time someone else can die instead of Jack through the laser. Watch out, Garrus! Better evacuate immediately or else you get zapped.

Along with the armor check, shield and weapon are also part of this randomization.

You still retain the possibility of saving squadmates by taking them with you to the Oculus Boss Fight but even if you manage to save them from the explosion in the engine room, you may lose them in the failed weapon check, so keep that in mind.

Any other mod which does not modify the following files:

  • BioD_EndGm1_120Bridge.pcc
  • BioD_EndGm1_220Cutscenes.pcc
  • BioD_EndGm1_240Cutscenes.pcc

Compatibility patches will have to be made to make other mods modifying the mentioned files for the approach phase of the Suicide Mission properly usable along with this one.

Those are the only ones I know of so far. If there are any other incompatible mods, feel free to notify me.

ATTENTION: If you intend to use Cerberus and Alliance Uniform Consistency along with the Unofficial LE2 Patch, I recommend using the compatibility patch of the first mod instead, since files from the LE2 Patch are already included in Cerberus and Alliance Uniform Consistency.

During the mod installation the correct patch should automatically be selected for you.

Since this is a port of one of Risky Suicide Mission's systems, it will be replaced by that mod automatically if that mod is installed due to higher mount priority.
