Arena Music Override
Allows monsters' unique themes to play in Forlorn Arena and Infernal Springs.
Extract to `<FLUFFY_PATH>/Games/MHRISE/Mods/`. Create the directories if it doesn't exists. There should be a `<FLUFFY_PATH>/Games/MHRISE/Mods/ArenaMusicOverride/modinfo.ini` after the extraction;
Enable "Arena Music Override" in Fluffy Manager.
Features
In Forlorn Arena and Infernal Springs, the monster's theme will be played instead of the map theme;
You may disable or enable certain monster's theme in settings. If you encounter consistent crashing for certain monsters, please disable them;
For Apex monsters, you may choose to play the original monster's theme or the Apex Theme (Red Roaming Roar) in settings;
Music transitions. The added music cannot fade in, fade out or have a natural transition from other music: usually it just cut in abruptly;
Cannot resume music. If the music get interrupted (e.g. after a cart), the music will play from the start instead of resume from the place where it stopped;
Compatibility Compatibility with other music mods is not guarenteed. However this mod shoiuld be mostly compatible with music mods as long as they don't edit natives/STM/Sound/wwise/bgm_special01_ev_str.bnk.2.X64. I tested with Boomer Music Mod and it works from my rough testing. Ackowledgement
Thanks to Fate for providing the alternate method of loading music in one area maps, which is used in v2.0;
Thanks to Silvris, KumoriRyuX, Elysiune, NSA Cloud and Fexty from the modding discord for bearing with my infinite questions.
Update Logs
(v3.0, 2023.07.16) Added themes from older games. See the "Features" section.
(v2.0, 2023.07.02) No functionality changes. Improved stability and compatibility and reduced file size. This should fixed crashing related issues and should now be compatible with some music mods.
(v1.3, 2023.06.28) Fixed music logic. This solves the following issues:
1. When entering the fight area, before aggro'ing any monsters, the map theme will no longer play. Instead, play the theme of the first quest target; 2. When there are multiple monsters, the one with the highest priority will be played similar to what will happen in regular maps; 3. When finished a monster with a unique them, then a monster without enters, the music will now correctly revert to the map theme; 4. After a quest with changed music, then enter a quest with Shagaru Magala as the target, the previous monster's theme will no longer plays before aggro'ing. Also, Violet Mizutsune is now disabled by default. This allows him to have the original music transition on phase two. If you want his theme to play from the start, enable him.
(v1.2, 2023.06.25) Attempted to fix the issue where some players may crash on certain monsters, and added the settings to separately enable/disable monsters' music. If you still encounter crashing on certain monsters, please disable them.
(v1.1, 2023.06.21) Fixed a bug where the music of Espinas is not played.
(v1.0, 2023.06.20) Release version. Should works on all 19 monsters (and their variants) that have unique music.
(v0.2, 2023.06.19) Added support for Chameleos, Teostra and Rajang, however the music for Gore Magala and Seregios becomes silent. Need testing for the new monsters.
