Small 2023 update - Added an optional "Textures only" version for hair mods that use textures from this.
This mod is NOT updated for Sunbreak (however the optional "Textures only" version is). I have plans to update this mod eventually (with improved features). Until then, you can use keegar's updated version here:
Brings most hairstyles from Elden Ring to Monster Hunter Rise. There are 18 in total in this mod. Every hair has physics, though some will be subtle. I've tried, but wearing helmets or hats with these hairstyles will give you mixed results. Some will fit nicely (as shown in the gallery), some will have clipping. Only non-DLC hairstyles are replaced. Currently includes 3 options:
All 18 hairstyles - Replaces the same numbers below
Feminine hairstyles only - 10 hairstyles. Replaces #12, 14~22
These hairs are roughly 5 to 20 times the size of vanilla hairs (in terms of tris and vert count). On low end PCs, you might see some performance impact.
For best results, you will want to turn on TAA + FXAA in your graphics options.
For modders/porters: Note that this is not a straight port from Elden Ring. This is my edit of the hairs from that game. Elden Ring handles hairs differently, so many things have been changed with the model + textures to make things work with Monster Hunter Rise. It won't be hard to tell if someone decides to use the files from this mod for something else. You are welcome to use them for whatever projects you may have in mind, but please credit me if you do so. That's all I ask.
