A HD remaster and design modification by SaveSmokey
The Abyssal Stormhorn is arugably one of the best-looking horns in the game. Why not make it better.
With a little motivation I was able to make this, my first texture mod for MHR. I am impressed with this modding community and I am really excited to present this to you.
With a little luck I managed to take the base texture for the Abyssal Stormhorn and upscale it with ESRGAN upscaling technology. This is very high quality upscaling that is open source and can generate very detailed images. The resolution is now 2048x2048 with enhanced detail up from 512x512. This should have a minimal impact on most systems, but the quality is well worth it.
I have also made significant modifications to the texture as well as an optional pentagram design I implemented.
This mod was inspired by my affection for the Wild Grunt and wanted to do something special for it. I have been playing monster hunter since the PS2 and use many weapons, so I expect to make more like this.
What this does is applies the Smoked custom texture I made to the Abyssal Stormhorn Hunting Horn with an option for a pentagram in the center. It can also be applied to the Wild Grunt hunting horn.
Extract the RAR file and drop the desired mods in your Fluffy Mods folder to install.
This mod has a main mod and an optional mod for each weapon. You will need to apply the main file first before any optional mods.
