About this mod

Makes damaged limbs heal over time depending on your overall health, and also damages your hit points if crippled limbs stay untreated. Fully compatible and lightweight.

The mod in a nutshell: Tries to create a direct connection between the player's hit points and the condition of their limbs. You will suffer damage depending on your crippled limbs, and damaged (not crippled) limbs will slowly heal over time, the healthier you are the better they'll recover. Sleeping helps to heal your limbs.

Compatibility: Compatible with everything. Does not touch any vanilla records.

Performance & safety
: Should have zero impact on performance. It is safe to install/uninstall mid playthrough, does not apply permanent effects.

To install: Use a mod manager or just drop the plugin into your New Vegas Data folder.

The mod in some detail:

Damage to health
  • Base damage goes from 12 to 120 per minute and scales up
  • Base damage depends on the number and type of crippled limbs, starting from worse injury: torso, head, legs, arms
  • Modified by Player's health (+1% per 10 hit points), with 300 health damage would increase by 30% (16 to 156 per minute)
  • It is inflicted in small ticks every 5 seconds
  • You need a substantial amount of damage for this to happen, one crippled arm doesn't hurt that much (.. right?)
  • A message is shown when this damage is happening, with a minute of cooldown
  • This damage does not add up during wait time (you won't go to sleep with crippled limbs and wake up to die)

Healing to limbs
  • Limbs will heal up to 6% of their health per hour, depending on limb and Player's health
  • Limb health accounts for 60% of the healing process, Player's health for 40%
  • If sleeping, the Player heals 10% faster during those hours
  • If possible, healing is applied every half an hour, no healing is lost if more time passes (sleep/wait/timetravel)
