About this mod
Makes night vision toggleable, allows key customization. Additionally, allows mod-added items to have a night vision feature. All of this is done in a vanilla friendly way!

Toggle night-vision on/off using the N key (Customizable)
Supported items:
- All Power Armor Helmets (FNV, DLC, TTW)
- All Riot Gear Helmets (Lonesome Road)
- Night Vision Goggles - Standard & Reinforced (TTW)
- Any other headwear that covers the eyes! (See Usage section below)
Vanilla-like tutorial message will appear the first time an item is equipped to explain the functionality
Sorting tags for night vision enabled items (Optional)
Universal Night Vision Module can be purchased/found or crafted after getting its schematics. Optionally, it will be required to add night-vision to other items
Add/Remove Night-Vision
- Open the Pip-Boy inventory
- Select the item under the mouse
- Press the toggle night-vision key (default: N, if bItemRequired = 1 is set in the config, you'll need to have a Universal Night Vision Module in your inventory)
- Done!
- Repeat the steps on the same item to remove the functionality
Compatibility
Compatible with the base game, all DLCs, TTW & any other mods that add or edit armors, etc.
Uninstallation
This mod is safe to install & uninstall anytime & will not have any permanent effects on your save. However, I've created an extra option to remove the mod fully to be extra sure.
To uninstall:
- Save & quit the game
- Open Data\Config\Universal Night Vision.ini & set bEnable = 0. Save the file
- Load your save
- An uninstallation message will appear & all night vision equipment will be unequipped
- Equip what you need
- Done! You can remove the mod using your preferred mod manager
