After the Falmers were exterminated, the Nords pushed forward in their craze over the borders of Skyrim to adopt the whole country. On their way they came through Hammerfell's ruthless landscape. But Skyrim's men didn't stand the hot climate, so many warriors loosed their lives in the dusty sands. The desert's creatures also pressed the soldiers, so that only eight Nords reaches their aim, Brena River. One of them was Nesta, wife of the general, who was killed by Skyrim's moods. To propitate the king in Skyrim to occopy the outer borders at least, and in loving memory of Nesta's husband the warriors became farmers and workmen. They needed many years to build a castle. Nesta fell in love with one of the soldiers, but the rest of the soldiers lusted for her, too. In a dark night they killed the lover and threw hin into the Brena River. The Nord woman disappeared in the next night, together with her son. Villagers found the woman near to Skyrim's border and assimilated her into their community.

After several years a group of farmers found the abandoned castle. Their leader was Vákur, Nesta's son. Except some bones of the creators the farmers didn't find anything in the castle. They rebuilt this fortress and it won new glamour. In memory of their home the fortress got the name Vetur Fortress.
