This is a new high definition module for the Dynamic Map, so Dynamic Map mod is required! :) The map itself is based on the HD map by nisen.

This module uses the map of the entire Tamriel based on TWMP. The following mods are currently supported with overlays.

Supported loosely Morroblivion in Tamriel - Solstheim is moved but the map markers don't align very well with the map. No plans to update it, unless someone asks for it. TWMP Morroblivion is yet to be tested. Classic Morroblivion is not anchored in Tamriel, so it doesn't show on the general map.

Supported fully:
  • TWMP (all of it, comprising Summerset Isles, Hammerfell, High Rock, Skyrim, Morrowind, Solstheim, Black Marsh, Elsweyr and Valenwood).
  • Stand-alone versions of Elsweyr Anequina, Elsweyr Pelletine and Valenwood Improved are also supported.
  • New Senchal and Senchal - the Seaside City.
  • (DC) Sutch Reborn.
  • Bartholm.
  • Open Cities Reborn (Leyawiin).
  • Imperial City Bridges Extended.
  • Roads of Cyrodiil.
  • West Roads.
  • Roads and Bridges.
  • Many other mods that don't require a map change - they will place their marker in the right spot!

Some mods place their land in a separate worldspace not anchored in Tamriel - their markers will never show on the general map. Examples of such mods are: Morroblivion classic version, Valenwood Islands, Cybiades, and of course Shivering Isles DLC! These mods can always be used, regardless of the version of the general map.

There are two significantly different versions of South Valenwood and Elsweyr Senchal peninsular. They are completely incompatible with each other, but both of them are compatible with Elsweyr Anequina. And yes, they can be reconciled and used together - see TWMP Southern Alliance.

How to back up your Dynamic Map setup

In a safe location make a new folder and copy the following files and folders into it:
- One file: Data\Ini\Dynamic Map.ini
- The whole folder with everything in it: Data\Textures\menus\DynamicMap

To restore your backup, copy these files back into their original locations overwriting what's there.

How to install this mod

This mod has no ESP file, it is installed by overwriting your existing map files with these new ones. For this reason please back up your existing setup so that you would be able to easily restore it.

Unpack the contents of this archive in your Oblivion\Data folder. Always choose overwrite when asked.

Check your Oblivion graphics settings - Texture size must be set to Large! Otherwise the map won't display.

That's it! Start the game as usual and your new map will be loaded.

Please note: this is a high resolution map and will take a little longer to load the first time after you start the game. It will be loading quickly after that.

How to uninstall this mod

To restore your previous Dynamic Map setup, copy your backup to the original location - see above.

To remove Dynamic Map altogether and return to standard map, disable DynamicMap.esp from your load order. There is no need to remove any files! The standard map configuration is not affected by any changes made to the Dynamic Map setup.

How to enlarge your map window

If you like the vanilla interface but would like a bigger map window as shown in my screenshots, I released my configuration as a small mod.

Thanks and acknowledgements
