DESCRIPTION:
I came across Legions of Cyrodiil, and it looked like exactly what I wanted in this kind of mod. Upon installing it, however, I saw it could definitely use some improvement, and it also had some extra features I didn't feel fit in. Since the permissions are open, courtesy of Enodoc, I figured I'd give my own take on it. This version makes the following changes to improve upon the original mod:

Removed features:
Spoiler:
Show

-Armor changes have been completely removed from the plugin. It felt like it should've been a separate mod anyway but it caused a bunch of compatibility issues and just felt unnecessary.
-New dialogue has been removed as it wasn't voiced and again felt out of the scope of the mod and caused compatibility issues. (Also didn't make a ton of sense to be asking random soldiers in forts for directions.)
-Removed some name changes.

Fort changes:
Spoiler:
Show

-Clutter and various objects have been added to the fort exteriors and interiors to make them feel a bit more complete and lived in. The locations were quite sparsely decorated and bland before, I've tried to liven them up a bit.
-Small landscape and architecture edits to fix bugs and smooth out the areas the forts are placed in.
-Numerous object placement errors have been corrected.
-Adjusted navmesh and added missing navmesh to Fort Tharanus.
-Proper ownership has been applied to all new items and old items that didn't have any.
-Each fort now has a unique deity shrine instead of all of them being to Stendarr.
-There are now a few prisoners in the prison cells of the forts. The cells also now have some bare necessities besides just a bedroll.
-Iron weapons in the forts have been replaced with silver or steel.

NPC Changes:
Spoiler:
Show

-NPCs no longer carry torches as it caused lighting bugs and they often used them in already lit areas.
-There are now some of the barely used Imperial ranks (battlemage, archer, captain) incorporated into the soldiers in the forts.
-Blacksmiths will no longer recharge your items. (Which made no sense to begin with.) They will still repair your gear.
-Chaplains and blacksmiths now carry weapons.
-Fixed chaplains and blacksmiths following you around and asking you to leave at night.
-Balanced level caps have been added to the NPCs, with higher ranking NPCs being stronger.
-A diversity addon is available that make some of the NPCs female and/or of the different races. Diversity is applied depending on what a given race is skilled at. It's subtle, so still expect mostly males and Imperials.
-NPC faces have been touched up to look better with OCOv2. (Though it is not required.)

Misc. Changes:
Spoiler:
Show

-Expanded on the addition of gear to Legion barracks. Iron weapons in Legion barracks have been replaced with steel, and a few more pieces of gear have been placed in some more cells. Also replaced pieces of steel armor in the Legion Armory with Legion armor.
-Fixed placement of fast travel markers so you don't get stuck when fast traveling.
-Carried over relevant UOP changes.
-Adjusted placement of horses so they don't get stuck in each other.
-Updated Bash Tags.

There are also lots of other small changes not worth mentioning.

The horse armor addon from the original modpage is not included here and can still be used if you so desire, it works fine with this version. An updated RoC patch that includes the horse armor changes is included here as well.

INSTALLATION:
This mod is set up in a BAIN installer, so Wrye Bash or MO2 should work just fine. If installed on an existing game, you may want to update NPC levels on your save with Wrye Bash to be safe. (This will ensure no NPCs spawn as the wrong gender.)

If you are a user of the original mod and want to switch to this:
1. Go somewhere away from the forts. (Preferably an interior.)
2. Uninstall the mod and make a clean save without it installed.
3. Install this version and regenerate LOD.

Note that because the original mod makes a bunch of armor edits to NPCs you may get naked vanilla soldiers walking around, either wait for them to respawn or reset their inventories with the console.

COMPATIBILITY:
Compatibility patches that were still needed from the original mod have been updated and are now hosted here. I haven't tested the Unique Landscapes or Roads of Cyrodiil patches but I assume they still work. New patches for other mods are also available.

Note: most of the patches in this mod are meant to be deactivated and imported into the Bashed Patch so they can all be used together, and as such most of them are not compatible with each other without one. I'm not going to provide support to people who do not use a Bashed Patch.

LOAD ORDER:
Shouldn't really matter, just load the patches after the mods they patch in a logical way.

Known issues:
Due to the way the CS works I had to make the Imperial watch helmet and gauntlets playable, please ignore it.

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

That's all... enjoy!
