Details:
Plague doctors are cool and spooky, so I downloaded Plague Doctor Improved. As with everything I use, I had to convert it to HGEC.
I didn't convert it to Roberts male, because it would barely look any different, and I'm starting to get sick of doing all this conversion stuff 😅
Additionally, I noticed a bunch of little visual design things I thought could be improved, so I improved them.
Throughout my travels I also found beeratwork - compilation - Nordbarbare EN FR, which I assume is the original resource pack that the plague doctor costume came from. There were additional plague doctor goodies in that resource pack, so I added them into this as well.
Just like in Plague Doctor Improved, all of the equipment can be found in a chest in the lighthouse at the Imperial City Waterfront.
List of changes below:
- Converted Female robes to HGEC using Vanilla Gear Redux assets.
- Added a coif inside of the hood of Plague Mask Hood piece. Originally, it was just a mask floating inside a hood with no head behind it.
- Replaced the swirly magical symbols from the chest with medieval plague crosses.
- Made the gloves and shirt one piece. It was clear that the gloves were never meant to be removed from the shirt in the first place, because the wrists of the female shirt were shrunken to an unnatural size to avoid clipping with the gloves.
- Made the pants and boots one piece. The boots weren't anything special to look at anyway, and if the top is all one piece, why not the bottom?
- The goggles on the mask had a lot of extra rubbish attached to them that made them look industrial, like they were a set of modern binoculars or something, so I removed all of that. The color was also a gun metal grey, again making them look modern, so I made them a rusty brown.
- The plague needle's damage and weight were left alone (equivalent to daedric), but the value and durability was lowered to that of elvish.
- I created a "Plague Guard" outfit using assets from beeratwork - compilation - Nordbarbare EN FR (converted to HGEC of course.) Plague Guard is split into a top and bottom, just like the Plague Doctor set, and comes with a coif.
- I created a "Plague Staff" from a stick model found in beeratwork - compilation - Nordbarbare EN FR. To make it look like an actual Plague Doctor staff, I colored it black, added a bronze cap to the bottom, and added a bronze winged hourglass on the top.
- The "Plague Staff" comes in three versions: an unenchanted magic staff, an enchanted magic staff, and a blunt 2 handed weapon (daedric damage and weight, elvish durability and value, 1.0 speed).
- Armor and clothing version are available for everything.
Requirements:
1. HG EyeCandy Body - The female outfits were made for this body type.
2. Light compatible Skeleton or Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeletons - for the HGEC conversion. Graphical issues may be experienced without it.
*This is not dependent upon any previous Plague Doctor mods. Don't use them together.
Installation:
Download my mod, unzip the file, and Drop the folder titled "data" in your Oblivion directory.
Special Thanks:
1. Selene310187 and zprospero's Plague Doctor Improved. My mod would not exist without there's. I have merely modified their work.
2. ElAlquimista's Vanilla Gear Redux for providing me with assets.
3. beeratwork - compilation - Nordbarbare EN FR by beeratwork for Plague Guard and Plague Staff assets.
4. Ring of Wings Version 3 by PacificMorrowind for wings assets used for Plague Staff.
