*Requires hair strands turned on in settings. Also, to use in mercenaries mode, Fluffy's Hair Strands in Mercenaries Mod is required*

*Compatible with Berserker and Valkyrie
but you must install the pak version under optional files. Extract the re_chunk_000.pak.patch_005.pak into you RE4 Directory along with Berserker or Valkyrie installed.

If you have other pak mods, the number must be sequential. Change 005 to the appropriate number for this mod. For example, Berserker is re_chunk_000.pak.patch_004.pak so this file must be named re_chunk_000.pak.patch_005.pak to be loaded properly.

Description
This mod adds 3rd Person rifles to replace the iron sight aim. It also includes new FOV changes for the ACOG scopes as another option. The CQBR specifically has the scope moved forward to a more realistic position. Includes working crosshairs and different versions to help with cross-mod compatibility.

This version is different than other 3rd person rifles mods. It has the same FOV as other 3rd person weapons and has smooth aiming transitions. The crosshair also functions properly. (Some mods can break this feature so the compatibility version must be used)

If using with other mods, it is best to use the compatibility versions included. DWP mod or possibly AWF mod will be required to activate the crosshair.

To get the crosshair using DWP, create a new profile called exactly "3rdPersonRifles". Then the profile will be selectable with the correct reticle settings loaded. Alternatively, you can just select "handgun 5" but will have to customize the focus fields.

This is an early version and although I was able to fix the hair disappearing issue, it requires hair strands to be on and are visible slightly with certain scopes. I will have to write a script to fix this but am releasing it now for testing.

Current bugs: hair showing in certain scopes, especially high-powered.
  • The normal map is slightly bugged in the CQBR with ACOG moved.
  • Hair strands setting and Hair strands for mercenaries mod is required. Low hair setting makes the hair disappear.

I will continue to update and support this mod as I am able to fix and add new features.
