Summary:The patch makes n1t0r´s survival mod
Hypothermia 1.5 aware of Robinsage´s and ThreeTen´s
Real Shelter. Effect: your char doesn´t get wet/saturated under shelters any more. Bystander´s other great
modifications of Hypothermia.pex are carried over.
As I see now, Bystander has continued his work on his Hypothermia Patch just now and I assume his additions will incorporate Real Shelter support, too. Frankly, I didn´t know that when I made the patch. A user of my Hypothermia/Campfire´s Patch noted that saturation rises in Chesko´s tents during rain. Well, that is still the case with my patch. But since my patch is working so far as Real shelter provides shelter, for the time being the patch might be of use for some Hypothermia users, too.
RequirementsEvil things will happen without all of these installed:
-
Hypothermia by
n1t0r-
Hypothermia 1.5 patch by
Bystander-
Real Shelter by
Robinsage and
ThreeTenInstallation:Copy the Scripts folder in Skyrim´s data folder.
After loading your save file, let your character sleep for one day (24h). This will reset Hypothermia´s scripts.
ChangeLog1.02 Fixes a possible issue where your saturation doesn´t rise although it´s raining and you are outside and not sheltered. After loading your save, please sleep for at least one hour.
(RealShelter´s GlobalVariable RS_IsSheltered, which I thought was supposed to always indicate whether the char is under a shelter or not, doesn´t seem to get updated when a shelter is left and it´s not raining or snowing. Therefore, when you enter a shelter during rain and leave it after the transition to sunny weather, the next time it starts raining, RS_IsSheltered would still be set to 1 - meaning "sheltered" - even if you are not under a shelter. This is resolved by setting RS_IsSheltered to 0 when its sunny from within the Hypothermia.pex. Besides that, uh, the correct source file is included this time.)

Modding Skyrim: Modder’s EditionWhat exactly does the patch do?The Hypothermia script "Hypothermia.pex" controls the saturation of your character. If it rains and you are outside (with or without Fire´s warmth buff), your char gets wet and your saturation rises. If it stops raining or you enter interior places, your saturation decreases slowly. When it doesn´t rain and you are in the vicinity of a fire which gives the Fire´s warmth buff (whether outside or not), your saturation drops to zero within a couple of (real time) seconds.
The Patch just adds a few lines to the Hypothermia.pex script. When you are outside during rain, but sheltered, your saturation doesn´t rise any more. Instead it decreases slowly (or drops fast if you have the Fire´s warmth buff)
PermissionsOf course my changes may be carried over to any other future or existing patches of the script Hypothermia.pex. Changes are marked in the source file, which is included. Otherwise I can´t give permissions, since the script is basically n1t0r´s asset with a couple of modifications by Bystander. I just added the code for Real Shelter support.
