What is Alternative Zones?

Alternative Zones is a mod that edits the Actor Values of every NPC in your current location to achieve a better, more delicate and interesting Skyrim world. Every NPC has something that defines him be it Speed, Power, Endurance or special effects.

I have not edited the DLC Races yet. Alternative Zones will set the Level to 100, Height to 1.00 and Health to 100 for each Race that is not in the Race List, this includes custom races. If you do not edit anything, those NPC's will move at snail speed and do no damage.

Features:

- Fast, clean and fully customizable experience.
- Covers all of the vanilla non-DLC Races.
- Has support for Custom Races.

Making and Sharing profiles

It's simple, every change you make in the MCM Menu will be saved in the JCUser folder in the same folder that Skyrim save your files at (look below). Simply archive the said folder and share it with your friends or other users, the MCM Menu will load the information from the configuration files and they'll be able to enjoy your profile. You may even share it on the Nexus as a separate file, just make sure to let them know what's changed from the default profile! (the one I provided).

How to install?

1. Download the main Alternative Zones file via Mod Organizer or NMM and make sure nothing overwrites the records from this ESP.

2. Download the "Configuration Files.7z" and unarchive it in the same folder that Skyrim saves your save files.

3. Play, failure to do the above step results in NPC's becoming ants and having all their Actor Values 0.

How does it do it? (scripting)

Every 3 seconds it checks if the Player's current location has changed, if it has, it will add a spell to the Player character that gathers all the current NPC's in a 192 unit distance (a cell's size) and then edits them using the values from the configuration files. The spell is removed almost instantly as it is added.

It edits the name records for all the Vanilla races.

What are Actor Values?

Actor Value Indices are the numerical values used in the game data to refer to a wide range of attributes, skills, and effects that can be relevant to any actor (e.g., the player, NPCs, or creatures). The names of the actor values can generally be used in the console as part of various console commands. In general, they also each correspond to an AVIF record in the game data.

What are these things in the MCM Menu?

Those names represent the races, for example ArgonianRace represents the Argonians, AtronachFlameRace represents the FlameAtronach, it isn't very hard to get.
