About this mod

Overhauls Severin Manor's interior to look more interesting and give the place a bit more character. Made to suit my current toon, figured other people might be interested. Lots of static clutter!

This is a pretty basic mod despite its size. I am playing an elderly well-traveled Dunmer fellow and wanted him to have a nice place to live on Solstheim. Now I know there are tons of neat Solstheim player home mods by talented people like Elianora, TWarrior, and Undriel to name a few, but I was thinking.... why not make the actual quest reward home, Severin Manor, look better so I feel more motivated to actually use it instead of leaving it empty? And so this mod was born.

All it does is reclutter Severin Manor to look like someone sophisticated lives there. It's not too ostentatious but I think it strikes a nice balance between the vanilla aesthetic and "classy." I'm not good at much more than placing objects at this point so sorry, no custom storage (though if someone wants to help me on that front I'd be most appreciative). In fact I deleted a bunch of redundant chests and barrels because they were so... well, redundant. My character's not a pack rat so I didn't feel I needed them. I have also deleted the stupid buggy creepy mannequins (I hate them) and replaced them with static armor stands, because I'm lazy and again, I hate mannequins. So I guess if you're a pack rat who needs a billion displays for every cool thing you pick up in the game, this mod isn't really for you, sorry. Maybe in the future I'll figure a way to put in some displays for the Dragon Priest masks or something, but for now this is how it is.

Another big change is that I've removed the smithing facilities and tanning rack because Glovery Mallory is literally right down the road why do you have a smithy in your underground home where the fumes will probably kill you AAAAAAAAAA. In their place is a bathing area, a nice statue, and a laundry area. I have not touched the navmesh and arranged everything so NPCs shouldn't get stuck. I don't know how to make the tub so your character can sit on it so I recommend the use of pose mods, it also lacks water because trying to add the mesh with water crashed the CK every time.

The master bedroom now has a bammin' slammin' bootylicious metric tonne of quaint somewhat shiny eye candy clutter that's geared toward a scholarly adventurer type. If you play on a crappy PC your frame rate will probably suffer. I tried to make it look appealing and homey, please give feedback on what I could improve. Also I've added new rugs to most of the house because an abundance of fur pelts bothers me and having the same brown rug all over the place was unsexy. The lighting has been edited as well to make things less bleak, it's no glowfest but it's better than what it was.

That stuff aside, I'll get to the important bits. This mod absolutely requires, with no exceptions, all official DLC sans the HiRes texture pack and USLEEP. It should go without saying that those requirements also rule out pirated versions of the game, lol. Everything else is packaged in the archive, which contains resources from the following mod authors who have been so gracious to share their cool stuff:

Elianora - Dark Elf styled furniture
Tamira and Phitt - Sheogorad resource
Haem Projects - lovely paintings from Project AHO and wall art from White River House
Flintone - Orient Set
Oaristys and CD Projekt Red - resources from combined vanilla meshes and Witcher 3 assets
Lolikyonyu - vanilla based meshes
Blary - vanilla based meshes
Insanity - bathtub, towels, laundry stuff, dividers, soap, Morrowind style potions, Morrowind style soul gems, etc etc
Tamira, again, and Stroti - laundry mesh from Resource Pack II
The_Funktasm - Morrowind style clutter

Honorable mention to Anaya, author of Nicer Severin Manor, which inspired me to make this mod. The first iteration of this was me fumbling my way through the CK and trying to add stuff to that mod, but then I restarted from scratch and did my own thing.

And also much love to Pandorable for testing this thing and helping me root out some missing asset problems. This is my first "big" mod as far as file structure goes so it's been a learning experience! If you have any problems with missing meshes or textures please tell me so I can fix it.

DO NOT SPAM THE COMMENTS SECTION ASKING IF I WILL MAKE AN SSE VERSION, I DO NOT PLAY SSE AND HAVE NO INTEREST, AND NO I CANNOT GIVE ANYONE PERMISSION TO DISTRIBUTE AN SSE CONVERSION OF THIS MOD BECAUSE OF ASSET PERMISSIONS.

If you want it for SSE learn to port it for yourself. I hate to sound mean but that's how it is.
