NOTE: The fixes for Root01, Root02, and Root03 are already included in USSEP as of 4.3.0 (root04 is not because it's not used in vanilla).
The meshes dlc02TelvanniRoot01, dlc02TelvanniRoot02, dlc02TelvanniRoot03, and dlc02TelvanniRoot04 (this one is actually not used in the vanilla game ,but the other three are) have incredibly simplistic and inaccurate collision, which causes problems for mods that attempt to use these meshes for climbing or platforming purposes. Additionally, Bethesda accidentally assigned these meshes the "broken stone" material type, meaning they make the wrong noises when walked on or hit with a weapon.
This mod was originally created to fix the platforming in the Brass Forest section of The Wheels of Lull, but I figured anyone could benefit from using it.
Note: This mod changes the Havok material from Metal to Stairs_Wood. Technically Wood (the non-stair version) would be more accurate to what the original intent likely was, but I set it to the stairs variant to help players and NPCs with the climbing segments in Wheels of Lull. Impact/footstep sounds should be the same regardless.
Yuril kindly trained me in how to fix collisions on meshes, and these four are the result (see the screenshots for before/after images).
Compatibility
Allow this mod to override Unofficial Materials Fix.
The meshes in this mod are identical to those in Wheels of Lull's optional TelvanniRoot fixes file (added in 5.1.12), so no need to install this if you have that.
