About this mod
I have always wondered why my character does not have parents. So I have fixed that.

Presumably this mod suits only young (and eager) characters.
It adds a note to the player. If you drop (or sell, or whatever) the note - nothing happens. If you read it - a small misc quest starts. Two NPCs would be chosen as you character's parent according to the lore rules (see below) and you will be tasked to meet them. Some NPCs have quest related dialogues that you need to go through first, but finally you will be able to greet them and get a random reaction, sometimes with a gift. Also your relationship with them will be set to rank 3 (I believe that is the default relationship for family members).
After you talked to both your parents, at each level up there is a chance (25% by default) that each of them will send you a letter (they are taken randomly from small pools of letters).
That's it.
There are two globals that could be easily edited with xEdit: one - for the amount of gold in one of possible gifts and another - for the percent of sending a letter at each level up.
Lore rules used for choosing parents:
1. The mother always has the same race as the child.
2. The father shares the race with the child only if the race is Argonian or Khajiit. Otherwise ha has a random mer/man race.
Important:
Starting from the version 1.2 you can select your parents. To do that, download the optional file, edit it by replacing predefined names of your parents and with the magic of SPID they will be chosen when you read the note.
1. Predefined parents are Mikael and Saddia, feel free to replace them with whoever you like.
2. It is necessary for these selected parents to load into the game BEFORE you read the note. If you read it too early random parents will be assigned.
3. I do no additional checks if parents are selected, so yes, your dad could be Serana and your mom could be Miraak. It is all up to you.
4. You can add several candidates for each parent by copying the corresponding line. In this case one of them will be picked.
5. You can select only one parent if you want. The second one will be assigned randomly.
