Like many others, I love Inigo and refuse to play without him.

However, I am a heavy roleplayer and don't like metagaming, so I always had to rely on headcanons to justify why my character would beeline for Riften Jail to free a random blue Khajiit. I know there are notes scattered about the world (two in the Bee and Barb, one in Braidwood Inn) with hints as to his location and some gentle nudging to go check him out, but my character would probably need more solid reasons than this.

So, I decided to replace Inigo's brief "I am ready" note, with a note from "a stranger in the shadows". It's the note sitting on the counter at the Bee and Barb inn in Riften, and it is now titled "To you. Yes, you." The note remains pretty cryptic, and it will be up to your character if they believe it is for them (the note refers to you as "Traveler"), so you can ignore it if you don't feel like recruiting Inigo this time. If you decide to follow it, however, we could say the note becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy: you believe the note, so you make it come true :)
