About this mod

Tweaks Adamant Smithing perks to almost entirely remove need of patching new armors and weapons at a price of minor inconsistencies in progression (not worse than vanilla game).

Adamant is without doubt good perk overhaul, and author is not afraid to change things, even if it creates need of patching. I'm very lazy person and I don't like patching, so I have decided to tweak Smithing tree in a way it no longer requires patches for nordic and stalhrim items. Patches for leather items are still needed, since it was really weird in vanilla that steel armor has perk, but light armor equivalent (leather) does not. Not that many mods add leather armors anyway. Also changes some perk names to be in line with vanilla naming convention, I find new naming convention confusing.

Summary:
  • Reverted crafting recipes back to vanilla (except leather), highly advised to load this plugin as early after Adamant as possible.
  • Stalhrim items are back in Ebony tier, now named Expert Smithing (Advanced Smithing in Adamant, Ebony in vanilla)
  • Nordic items are back in Advanced Armors, now named Advanced Smithing (Journeyman Smithing in Adamant)
  • Rare Smithing renamed to Elven, available at lvl 50 (10 levels earlier to compensate, since its available way more early in vanilla game)
  • Exotic Smithing renamed to Glass, available at lvl 70 (like vanilla)
  • Intermediate Smithing renamed to Orcish, available at lvl 50 (to match Elven tier)

Full details:
Original:
  • Basic Smithing (20): You can create Steel and Leather items at any forge.
  • Journeyman Smithing (40): You can create Dwarven, Scaled, and Steel Plate items at any forge.
  • Rare Smithing (60): You can create Elven items at any forge.
  • Exotic Smithing (80): You can create Glass items at any forge.
  • Intermediate Smithing (60): You can create Nordic and Orcish items at any forge.
  • Advanced Smithing (80): You can create Ebony items at any forge.
  • Mythic Smithing (100): You can create Daedric and Dragon items at any forge.

New:
  • Basic Smithing (20): You can create Steel and Leather items at any forge.
  • Advanced Smithing (40): You can create advanced items like Dwarven, Scaled, and Steel Plate at any forge. (Nordic back in its vanilla tier)
  • Elven Smithing (50): You can create Elven items at any forge.
  • Glass Smithing (70): You can create Glass items at any forge.
  • Orcish Smithing (50): You can create Orcish items at any forge.
  • Expert Smithing (80): You can create Ebony and Stalhrim items at any forge. (Stalhrim back in its vanilla tier)
  • Mythic Smithing (100): You can create Daedric and Dragon items at any forge.

Description of Advanced Smithing has been created in a way to imply there are more items available, because mods often add new armors into that tier if it can't be categorized as any other tier.
Mod is making only minor changes and should be highly compatible. Compatible with Adamant with Vanilla Perks out of the box.

Description formatting is horrible because nexusmods text editor randomly removes and adds new lines on its own, can't help it.
