Rationale:
I was playing with Gourmet as part of Gate of Sovengarde collection. I had the werewolf start, and ended up halfway to Riften, at level 1, covered in guts and blood and dirt, with a speechcraft skill that was negligible, and no septims to my name. I was hungry. I had a piece of venison, but I wanted to cook it. I needed salt. I couldn't get into Riften (too poor, and too blood-covered to succeed the speech check from Daddy Bryn's gate shakedown), so I tried the caravan; they didn't stock salt. Made my way to Shor's Stone; no salt for sale. Made my way to Darkwater Crossing; no salt for sale. Encountered a hunter who made a living of the land; no salt for sale... see the pattern?
As proof of the Big Urban Conspiracy, Gourmet only makes salt more accessible at city inns. Salt should not be a scarce ingredient in a coastal province, moreso if it's a required ingredient for cooking. All those NPCs also need salt to cook their daily fare! So this mod adds varying amounts of salt to various vendors across the province, from a few pinches to hunters, to lots to city traders.
It's a SkyPatcher configuration file, so it will run at runtime, and there is no need for plugin patchin'
The configuration file is extensively commented, so check it out!
