All mod-added armor and weapons with crafting recipes will be replaced by their vanilla-aligned counterparts.

DESCRIPTION
A lot of Mod Authors will put recipes for their equipment that may not be in line with vanilla standards, so this mod aims to change that; any mod-added items that use Vanilla Keywords will have their recipes automatically changed to fit the vanilla crafting experience.

E.G. if you use a mod that adds Dwarven Armor that has a crafting recipe of 42 steel ingots, 85 leather strips, and 15 daedra hearts, and uses Ebony Material keywords, this mod will change the crafting material to use Ebony Material crafting recipes.

This mod utilizes SkyPatcher to make these changes.

INSTALLATION
  • Install SkyPatcher.
  • Install this mod using the "Download with Mod Manager" button.
  • Activate mod in mod manager.
  • Done.
COMPATIBILITY

Any armor/weapon mod that utilizes vanilla keywords will be compatible right out of the box.

If a mod is not getting the proper recipes, it isn't utilizing the proper keywords, in this instance, please drop the mod name in the "Posts" tab and I will add compatibility as soon as possible.

KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES
[1.] Currently, the mod is not compatible with properly replacing recipes for Elven Weapons nor Golden Weapons. Not exactly sure what the issue is, but I am looking into it and hope to have this resolved soon. FIXED

[2.] Certain setups can have CTD's due to crafting recipes being added to items that don't have crafting recipes at all. FIXED

[3.] PLEASE post any bugs or issues you have in the "Posts" tab. It will help me make this mod better!

PLANS
I would like to make this mod as universal as possible, so if there are mods that bring their own crafting materials that get overwritten, I would like for those to have two versions;
  • Version 1, the armor/weapon mod is entirely ignored by UAaWCR
  • Version 2, the armor/weapon mod has its vanilla-aligned crafting materials removed, and the "special" materials are kept.
  • [Added on 9/16/2024] Will require Object Categorization Framework soon in order for higher compatibility with modded weapons and armors. Will become a more robust system as well to ensure maximum recipe consistency and accuracy for equipment types.


I'd also like to change the tempering recipes soon as well, but not exactly sure if that if outside the scope of this mod or not, as I believe Crafting Recipe Distributor is a better option in this instance.
