Change the appearance of any NAMED (unique) NPC in-game.
The change is permanent even if you start a new game.

You don't like the appearance of an NPC and you can't find a suitable replacer ?
No problem, here's a super quick and easy way to give any NPC the appearance you want.

This only works on named NPCs, no "Bandit" or "Courier" for example.
When you decide to use this mod, SAVE YOUR GAME. This will allow your character to return to its original appearance.
Don't save during the process or you will ruin your character.
1. Check the race of the NPC and open the console to edit your character's appearance with Racemenu
(example : Matlara is a Nord. Type "Racemenu" on the console as to create a Nord character.)
ALWAYS CHOOSE THE SAME RACE AS THE NPC.
2. Create a character with the appearance you want the NPC to have.
You can save the preset just made but not mandatory.
3. Now your character has the appearance you want to apply to the NPC.
Open the MCM and search for RaceMenu Preset Loader, open it.
4. You see a board with two parts : NPCs and Player
In Player, Type the NPC's name in "Save player preset".
(in my example "Matlara")
5. In NPCs, go to Presets and search for the name you just have typed ("Matlara.jslot" in my case)
6. Check "Apply preset to NPC".
Exit the MCM and check if the NPC has the appearance you wanted.
If not, open the MCM again and check "Remove preset from NPC", the NPC should regain its former appearance.
7. If it is OK, then RELOAD your last save. Your character should return to its normal appearance and the NPC should keep its new appearance.
Please note : changes are PERMANENT, even if you start a new game. Recovering the old appearance of an NPC after you reload the game is quite tricky. So only do it if you are confident enough in yourself, and make your first try on an insignificant NPC (obviously not Serana or Lydia).
