This ESL-flagged mod alters outfits and some leveled lists to avoid vanilla NPCs wearing headgear such as hats, hoods, and helmets.
This is primarily intended for use in a new game, because this mod does not affect already-spawned vanilla NPCs. Nothing bad will happen if you add this mod to an existing game, but already-spawned vanilla NPCs will continue to wear the headgear that they were already wearing.
This mod changes 133 outfits and changes 25 leveled lists, to remove headgear worn by vanilla NPCs. This mod does not change any other kinds of records.
All the headgear itself remains in the game with no changes. No armor records were changed. No meshes or textures were changed. The player character can still equip any headgear. If you give headgear to an NPC follower, the NPC will equip it.
The goal of this mod is to avoid the wearing of headgear by most vanilla NPCs in a very compatible way. No NPC records were changed, so this mod will not conflict with any other mods that change NPC appearance or attributes.
There are some deliberate exceptions to keep NPC headgear in certain cases:
The Helgen executioner keeps his hood.
Cicero keeps his jester hat, for consistency with Cutting Room Floor's dialogue in which Uthgerd mentions Cicero's "funny hat".
Delphine keeps her hood as part of her disguise while meeting Farengar.
