A compendium of patches, mostly making Southpawe's various Northbourne NPC mods compatible with preeum's VHR - Vanilla Hair Replacer.


Mods made compatible with VHR - Vanilla Hair Replacer via the patches in the Files section:

Northbourne NPCs of Whiterun
Northbourne NPCs of Falkreath

It is worth noting - I did not add VHR's hair onto these NPCs, because I did not want to ruin Southpawe's intent with their design.  I have instead edited the esps / facegen to trick the game into thinking the two mods headsparts match.  In addition to making these compatible with VHR, I have also added various fixes / consistency to the facegen meshes.  They are as follows:  

SUEMR -- Various eye fixes.
ENB Brow Fix
ENB Scar Fix
Also forwarded a few pretty important USKP fixes that did not require it to be added as a master.

These additional fixes are not necessary, and can even provide negative results when not using an ENB.  However, if you are using Northbourne's overhauls, you are using a high poly mesh -- which leads me to believe an ENB is in order.  Regardless, it's a terrible amount of tedium required to patch these, so I'm patching them for my own game, and if it doesn't work for your setup, please don't ask me to make a set just for you.  On the other hand, if you find a bug with any of the NPCs specifically, let me know as I may have missed something in my comb over.  

The following mod was patched with the general consistency fixes, but not for VHR (because it didn't need it -- no vanilla hairs were used):

Make sure to load these files after the original Northbourne mods.  Obviously you still need all of them for these to work - they are just meant to fix the black face bug and provide consistency with other recent mesh fixes.

Please send an endorsement Southpawe's way.  These NPCs are extremely well done.  I've even using a few of the NPCs from it that Bijin replaces (and not because they're high poly, as I've already been converting those to high poly as well.)  But because they're so damn good.

Again, let me know if you run into any issues.  I ran through all the towns and didn't see any Black Faces -- and certainly no CTDs.  But something may have slipped through the cracks.  Likewise if an NPCs eyes or something seems off, when you run through as many of these as I did, it's possible a typo got in somewhere.

I think everyone is familiar enough with the black face bug now that I don't need to post before /after pictures, so I just posted After pictures.  I also highly recommend the new Authentic Eyes and Northborn Scars for use with these meshes.  That's what I use with my own setup (with a couple custom normal for two of Northborns scars that were a bit... deep), and I feel they provide the most lifelike results when paired with most ENBs.
