About this mod

A collection of simple patches that serve to fix the many immersion-breaking names that mod authors love to place on their weapon, armor & item mods. Sometimes I also upload other little immersion edits that do other things, as well.

There are many excellent mods on the Skyrim: Special Edition nexus; with a large quantity of them taking the form of weapon, armor or item additions that serve to inject your game with some much needed variety. Quite a few of them also offer a plethora of patches to suit the user's needs - from WACCF/CCOR keyword alignments to CBBE Bodyslide generation files. However, there is always one aspect of these mods that is often overlooked in the modding scene, either by the mod author themselves or the kind souls who have taken the time to create the aforementioned patches:

Item names.

If you're as OCD as me, you've likely noticed this too. You load up a new game and trade with a blacksmith or tailor in order to gear yourself up, only to be met with a list of horrifically named weapons & armor that not only break your immersion, but also look as though they are placeholders for the real names that would be added in a future update. This lack of proper legibility can also impact gameplay - sometimes these names are so long and strangely worded that you might have to take a few moments to understand exactly what said item actually is. Pretty annoying when you're just trying to quickly scroll through a vendor's inventory for something to wear, right?

That is where this mod comes in. "Cut The Crap!" does exactly what it says on the tin - it completely fixes the dodgy naming schemes of your favourite mods to help them better fit into the world by firmly lobotomizing those immersion-breaking word jumbles that said mods often ship with. Occasionally, it will also change the wording of spell or enchantment effects, if the offending mod calls for such action. I might also upload some immersion-related files that, for example, prevent certain items from adding themselves to your inventory at the start of the game.

These patches are compatible with EVERYTHING.
Seriously - there are no other (or at least, very few) files in existence that make changes to the records of these particular items inside of
these specific mods. The only requirement? Load them after their masters. Simple as that. There may be potential incompatibilities when a
mod I have made a patch for updates, however, so keep that in mind.

Divine Elegance Store by apachii
Changed the name of every single armor and weapon found in the pack (yes, it took forever). Also modified the name of the "crafting raven"
to be less meta. Some objects within the store have been renamed, too, but it was mostly just capitalization.

KD Circlets Redone by zzjay & Tarshana
Renamed all of the circlets while maintaining the accurate descriptions of the original naming scheme ("Golden Twin Diadem", "Orcish Circlet",
"Silver-Sapphire Elven Diadem" etc.)

Another Vampire Leather Armor by docteure, Jeir & RavenDier
Simply renamed the armor so that it doesn't have such a generic name. Inspired by the recent release of Oldschool Runescape's
"Sins of the Father" questline.

The Lily - Armor Mashup by pottoply
Just gave the armor set a more fitting name - using the "Adventurer" prefix ("Adventurer Attire", "Adventurer Boots" etc.)

Lucrezia Navarre's Robe by singlebelong & JediStudley
Gave every piece of the outfit an appropriate rename - using the "Silken Mage" prefix ("Silken Mage Robes", "Silken Mage Boots" etc.)

AddItemMenu by towawot
Everything has been renamed, and the spells have been given some nice flavor text so that it fits snugly into your powers tab.

Become a Bard by Pevey
Renames all instances of "Songbook: Custom" to "Songbook: Bespoke". Also prevents the default songbook, it's associated power,
and the "Letter from Lurbuk" from being added to your inventory on start, allowing you to become a bard more naturally.

ShowRaceMenu Alternative by Seb263
Every spell and their associated menus have been renamed or rewritten in a lore-friendly fashion. Now the ability to change your
looks anywhere and at any time doesn't feel as "gamey".

Wearable Lanterns by Chesko
Nothing has been rewritten in this one, but I have prevented all of the spells (toggle lantern etc.) from automatically being added
to your spell list. You can still access them through console commands if you need them, however. #HotkeyMasterRace

Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions by TMPhoenix
The name of the "Bless Home" spell as well as the flavor text of the message boxes have all been rewritten. They're all a bit
more immersive now.

Pierced Ears - Earrings SE by xXTainXx
All of the earrings have been renamed according to their appearance and the ear they are equipped to.

zzjay's Wardrobe for SSE by zzjay & Sakora
All of the items contained in the pack have been renamed in a similar fashion to my Divine Elegance patch - though this was mostly
word order and grammar fixes. Note that this file requires WACCF, since it forwards the records from the patch found in this compilation.

Undeath Classical Lichdom by ConnorRia & Linnsanity
Fixes the grammar of many item and spell descriptions as well as the loading screen messages.

BDOR Pack SE by Team TAL
Renamed all of the items within the pack to be more "lore friendly" (as much as they can be).

Skyrim Auras by Clanggedin
Modified the names of every ring, fixing typos, grammatical errors and naming scheme.
