Author notes
User 'jlowen' has been given permission to port this mod to Skyrim LE.
Adds a new weapon to the game: Hunting Crossbow. It is available in three different colors. Also adds two new bolt types: Wooden Bolt and Barbed Bolt.
The Hunting Crossbow is a wooden crossbow. It is less powerful than metal crossbows but the fast reload speed allows the user to be more mobile and engage enemies at shorter ranges. The weapon can be crafted at a forge from firewood and iron fittings. It can be found inside 'Wood' category. There are no requirements to craft it.
This crossbow does not have a loading lever, which causes the reload animation to look a little bit odd. I can't make custom animations, so you'll just have to get used to it.
Hunting Crossbow stats:
Base damage: 14
Weight: 10
30% faster reload speed than vanilla crossbows
Less stagger to enemies than vanilla crossbows
This mod also includes two new bolt types. The Wooden Bolt is weak but only requires firewood to craft. The Barbed Bolt is very powerful and requires the 'Advanced Armors' perk as well as some special materials to craft. In addition, Steel bolts and Dwarven bolts are available without the need to join Dawnguard. You still need to join Dawnguard to unlock exploding bolts, though.
