I've been using Mogybus' fantastic Light Horses of Skyrim, but I found that I really missed seeing all of KrittaKitty's amazing textures from Realistic Primitive Horse Breeds (or the SSE port Realistic Horse Breeds). Inspired by Dynamic Animal Variants, I created this as a solution.


  • This mod will allow cart horses to spawn with one of five different textures at random (does not alter the carts themselves or the drivers in any way)

  • The mod requires Real Rabbits HD (Diverse version) by fadingsignal as a master. Like Dynamic Animal Variants, this mod uses the script created for Real Rabbits and will not work without it.

Compatibility

Fully Compatible:
  • Convenient Horses - load my mod after CH
  • Realistic Horse Breeds
  • Light Horses of Skyrim
  • SkyTEST
Horse mods which directly edit the vanilla Windhelm horse skin (NakedHorseAA under Armor Addon) are partially compatible. If my mod is loaded last, the other mod's Windhelm stable horse will be overwritten and you'll have the KrittaKitty "Exmoor Pony" version. If the other mod loads last, your cart horses will have a 1 in 5 chance to spawn with that mod's Windhelm variation instead of the KrittaKitty version. I honestly see this as more of a feature than a compatibility issue, as I want my game to have as much variation as possible, but your mileage may vary!

Mods which edit the CartHorseRace or HorseForCarriage NPC records will not be compatible without a patch.

DEEJMASTER333 made a patch for this mod to use HD Reworked Horses textures instead of KrittaKitty's. Check it out if you prefer closer-to-vanilla textures!
