1.DISCLAIMER

  • I will not be taking requests for other voice presets or LE/VR/Console ports, all guides and resources have been provided in the DIY Tutorial section below. I'm no different from you; a noob modder. If I can do it, you can do it.
  • If you're having issues, please post it on the FORUMS or the BUGS tab.
  • I might not reply to issues or questions I don't know how to answer; please be patient and pray someone else does.
  • None of the mod images are mine; all credits due to respective publishers/creators.

2.DISTRIBUTION
Feel free to do whatever with my mod. I don't care.

3.DESCRIPTION
This mod is a voice preset made using HHaleyy's PC Head Tracking and Voice Type. Tooneyman has very kindly ported it over for the SSE here. Give them lots of love, because custom player voice wouldn't be possible without these people.

My mod should work out of the box. It includes voices for default actions/event and also voices for other interactions that are usually silent.

If some voices seem redundant or obnoxious or overly cringey, feel free to change them around. I've uploaded a "DIY Raven Voice replacer" file for individual voice lines for you to customize.

A/N
Always been a huge fan of singer/voice actor Miyano Mamoru; one of my favourite works of his is his voice in the popular anime action MMORPG Elsword. Ignoring the cheesy speeches and skill name shouting, one of the best combat voice acting I've ever heard, if not the best, in my humble opinion.

I was doing this for me self, but thought I might pass by and share it because this voice actor is so talented and fits really well into the player character of skyrim (I think).

4.REQUIREMENTS & INSTALLATION
To use my mod, you require the following files;

To install Raven Voice Replacer
Install via MO2 or other mod managers and load after PC Head tracking.

Or

Add/Replace PC Head Tracking and Voice Type's Sound folder with Raven Voice Replacer Sound folder.

After installation, make sure you check the B.Y.O check box in the MCM menu to activate.

5.COMMON ISSUES (Update 12/10/2020)
My player character's not making any noise when swinging with weapons!
  • In the PC head tracking MCM menu and check the Bleedout Fix box.
  • If this doesn't work, go into your "Data" folder of SSE and navigate to "Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.ini"
    remove the line that says uMaxSizeForCachedSound=4096
  • If it doesn't work, check that your audio files are in WAV/FUZ/XWM format.

I only hear vanilla character voice and my custom voice pack doesn't work!
  • In the PC head tracking MCM menu, check the B.Y.O box and save.
I don't hear any player character voice - vanilla or modded.
  • Go to skyrim audio settings and make sure the "Custom Voice" volume is not 0.

6.DIY TUTORIAL
If you don't like the redundancy of a certain voicelines or you want to make your own custom voice preset this is the section for you. Please read carefully, and if you have any questions or issues, use the FORUMS/BUGS tabs please.

Configuring Raven Voice Replacer
If you just want to edit and play around with Raven's Voice preset, I've also included the individual Raven voicelines as wav files for you to download in the FILES tab.
  • Navigate to the Raven Voice replacer folder in explorer
  • Go to Sound > FX > PC Head Tracking
    This is where you will find all the actions/events voicelines for your player character,
    Here is the folder structure courtesy of HHaleyy;

  • Rename a voiceline you want to either 01/02/03/04/05
    *Important Note* A maximum of 5 audio files can be placed within each voice folder (i.e. Chair, Attack, Bleedout, etc...) with the exception of the Greetings Category which you can have 10 audio files in each of its folders (i.e. Goodbye, Hello, Random).
  • I have not touched the Locations, Sprinting, Killmove folders and are mostly silent; there might be other folders I might  not have used. Feel free to add voices into them if you wish but as I said, 5 audio files are the max.

Creating Custom Voice Pack Using WavePad

If you are trying to make a completely new voice pack here are some instructions and guidelines. HHaleyy's got instructions in his/her mod page too in case I missed something.

Tools you will need;

  • Get your voice sample; mp3/wav/flv/gizmo/whatever. Format doesn't matter because you will export it to either WAV/FUZ/XWM.
  • Split them into voicelines and export them as WAV/FUZ/XWM. I recommend WAV. I don't think I've had any issues with it.
    *Important Note* Try to keep them at a length less than 5 seconds to restrict resource usage.
  • If you are using WavePad here are some useful shortcut keys
    - ctrl + shift + D (Splits audio up to to the cursor or red line)
    - ctrl + M (Cuts out audio up to the cursor or red line)
    - Mouse scroll zoom (for precise work)
    This is pretty much all you need, but if you want more, refer to WavePad's official tutorial here.
  • Once you're done, save as WAV, and this is what you should see. Press ok.
  • You've got your voiceline file, so name them 01/02/.../05 and place them in the folders you want. (refer to folder structure above).
    *Important Note* A maximum of 5 audio files can be placed within each voice folder (i.e. Chair, Attack, Bleedout, etc...) with the exception of the Greetings Category which you can have 10 audio files in each of its folders (i.e. Goodbye, Hello, Random).
  •  It doesn't matter if you are missing 04 or 05; you don't have to fill the folder to its maximum. But do keep in mind the chances of you playing a silent voice becomes 20% higher for each missing audio file.

    example, in the Attack folder:
    01.wav
    02.wav
    03.wav
    04.wav

    This has a 20% chance of playing a silent voice whenever you swing your weapon.
  • Once you're done, place these folders into the PC Head Tracking mod folder or make a separate archive and load your custom mod after HHaleyy's PC Head Tracking mod. Make sure your voices are contained in the correct folder structure;

    Custom Voicepack > Sound > FX > PC Head Tracking > Action/Bleedout/Breath/etc...
