About this mod

Bring Cait from Fallout 4 to Skyrim. Fully voiced using Cait's voice! Currently has over 200 voiced lines. I've recreated a number of the original lines from Fallout, some "tweaked" ;) and a LOT of new lines!

Bring Cait from Fallout 4 to Skyrim!

Cait has always been my favorite companion in Fallout 4. Her vanilla design really didn't do her justice so it didn't take me long to slightly re-design her. (like I do with MOST people in the games)

Vanilla Fallout Cait

My personal custom Fallout Cait.

Now, thanks to a revolutionary new application xVASynth, I can now voice Cait (and others) to say anything I want!

** Ever since xVASynth version 1.2 was released, all voice generation has been broken and even DanRuta can't seem to figure out why his program no longer works.

** So, while I will still be supporting Cait, I will NOT be generating any new voiced lines for her or new custom-voiced followers until xVASynth is fixed, or a comparable program is released.

Since I absolutely couldn't get enough of Cait, I'm bringing her to SKYRIM!

Fully voiced using Cait's voice! She's confident, crass, and flirty.

Cait in Skyrim is a fully voiced, custom designed follower.

You can find her in the Sleeping Giant inn in Riverwood. (I know, that inn has be way overused for followers, but I wanted to be able to pick her up early on new playthroughs.)

She is fully customized. Custom voiced lines, custom fighting class, custom stats...
She will use whatever you give her, but she favors Light armor and Dual wielding.

* Ask her about her thoughts in certain locations and she'll tell you! (It's a little sparse ATM but I'll be adding more as time goes by)

Places Cait's been... (so far)

Whiterun (Had to drag her away so she didn't murder Nazeem, Jorrvaskr had her spooked)
Solitude (She got a kick out of the Blue Palace, or maybe it was someone there?)
Markarth (Spent quite some time in the Temple of Dibella, she didn't want to leave.)
Riftin (Wanted to search for this "thieves guild", but we had to go.)
Windhelm (She was strangely quiet. Don't think she liked it there.)
College of Winterhold (Had to actually MAKE her stay. Wasn't comfortable there)
Falkreath (Blink and you miss it kinda town)
Morthal (Crazies and Vampires galore)
Solstheim (She kept forgetting why we were there)
Dayspring Canyon (Kept pushing me to go there when she heard they were hunting vampires)
Forgotten Vale (Didn't care for all the Falmer, but liked the area)

Installation:

Simply use your favorite mod manager.

Uninstallation:

Like most follower mods, just dismiss her normally and uninstall with your mod manager.

Upgrading from previous versions:

At the moment, there are NO issues upgrading to new versions of the mod. You won't have to do anything at all. Just use your mod manager to update the existing file and it'll work.

Compatibility:

Cait is FULLY custom, but fully integrated into the vanilla systems. She should be completely compatible with almost everything. AFT works just fine.

Cait is NOT compatible with Nether's Follower Framework. - I tried to get it to work but NFF appears to be very buggy and I will not be supporting it.

Requirements:

None.  (Except Skyrim Special Edition of course)

Notes:

Cait is pretty much complete. All the basic functions are there and she's working just fine, she currently has over 200 voiced lines.

She'll have commentary about you, companions you might have with you, locations you are in, people nearby, even enemies you are fighting.

I currently don't have her integrated into the marriage systems yet, so she's not marryable. (Is Cait really "marriage" material?)

I've created literally hundreds of followers for my own use, but never released any, and never a fully voiced one that didn't use one of the vanilla voices. So, functionally, she's fine. If there are any bugs, let me know and I'll do my best to correct them.

Credits:

ApachiiSkyHair SSE for the hair (Obtained with permission)
xVASynth for the use of her synthesized voice.
dsp2003 for the idea to revert her custom body back to vanilla.
