If the player has a higher Light Armor skill, he will be given a Studded Armor enchanted with Fortify Light Armor instead.

Changed the item reward fetching the Dragonstone from Bleak Falls Barrow for Farengar.

(The Dragonborn now gets an enchanted (Fire Resistance) Banded Iron Shield matching the highest armor skill level. (Heavy / Light)

What this mod DOES NOT:

It DOESN'T add light versions of the items: Iron Armor, Iron Banded Armor & Iron Shield.
The principle of this mod is NOT to give the player light versions of armors. It is to implement light versions of pieces that match the Dragonborn's looks ONLY. If you want to have a full light armor set, there are other mods for that.

Concept:

I always liked playing the Nord race and looking as faithful to the trailers as I could. But keeping away from those Altmer or Dunmer races in the Race Menu was never enough for me. I needed something more... immersive. Lore-friendly. I wanted to have my Studded Armor match my Iron Gloves, Helmet and Boots, along with the Steel Sword and Banded Iron Shield, without taking the toll of being unable to benefit from my Matching Set perk. And I wanted to get these looks before I even achieve the point of finding out I am Dovahkiin!
So, I made it happen. I thought of having Jarl Balgruuf himself help me become the so known Dragonborn. Not the legend itself, but the marketed image from the trailers. To thank me for delivering the news from Helgen Attack, he gives me the so desired Studded Armor matching my skills! Then, he asks me to help Irileth fight off a Dragon that just attacked the Western Tower of Whiterun! But not before he rewards me for bravely heading into Bleak Falls Barrow and retrieving the Dragonstone - with a fire resistant shield. (And Mirmulnir is a fire-breathing Dragon... coincidence? I know think not!)

The idea of this mod was of personal use. It started off by having a heavy version of the Studded Armor, which is what was missing to match the whole Heavy set and still have the same apparel of the Dragonborn that is shown in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim trailers, pictures etc.

¿Not convinced yet?

Check out these awesome retextures from aMidianBorn!
Since I can no longer play with the Vanilla textures ever since I became a fan of their work, I had to make a patch that would allow me to implement new variants of the armor pieces as well as break them down, back to their respective miscellaneous items. (it only gives back shortened amounts of the main resources, so... immersive-addict weirdos: calm your tits)

The NMM installer has two .esp files:

Main: True Dragonborn Reward.esp
This is the core file, which is mandatory for implementing the mod itself.

Add-On: True Dragonborn Reward - aMidianBorn Content Addon Patch.esp
This is an optional file that adds the variant armor pieces mentioned above.

It also comes with slightly brighter versions of CaBaL120's original textures. And when I say slightly, I really mean it.

Recommended mods:

aMidianBorn - Book of Silence - Almost mandatory. Of course, it isn't exactly required, but it has a big part on my inspiration to even put this all up together, so... I couldn't stress this out enough: I highly recommend installing this mod.
Note: even though it's an old Skyrim mod, it still works perfectly with the SSE. (Go for it!)
Subtle but Classless - Good for making sure you don't get to the point of being rewarded with your Armor / Shield from Balgruuf and end up having a higher skill on the type of armor you do not wish to have. (Disregard this if you only wish to start the Main Questline after you've leveled up a bit)
Character Creation Overhaul - Races - Birthsigns - Classes - Skills - Specializations - Attributes - Same reason as the one above. You can combine these two mods, by the way.

Installation:
The mod has a FOMod installer with instructions to walk you through it. I highly recommend that you install the aMidianBorn textures prior to using this mod. You could add the vanilla options, for sure. But why settle with it when you can have a way better looking option?
(If installing manually, download the standalone files instead)

Uninstallation:
If installing through NMM, just right click the mod and go for "Uninstall or Delete" option and it's done.
When manually uninstalling, all you have to do is remove the .esp files located in:
"steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Data"
AND, remove the texture files by deleting the folder "TDR Variants", located in:
"steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Data/textures"
