A small experiment for personal use that turned into a collection of high quality 4K gothic makeup and tattoo overlays for Racemenu

I'll get the important information out of the way first.

In order for these to work properly, you'll need to change this line in skse.ini (if you don't have one, create a new text document named "skse.ini" in Data > skse) and add this line.

[Display]
iTintTextureResolution=4096

to get more slots in the Face Paints tab, edit this line in skse64.ini

[Overlays/Face] ; "Face [Ovl#]" and "Face [SOvl#]"
; Determines how many face overlays there should be
iNumOverlays=3 ; Default[3]

iNumOverlays=x changing "x" to whichever number of slots you want.

There's about 2 dozen individual, fully modular paints that can be assembled together to fully customize your gothic look. I've also included a .pdn (paint dot net) file with every option as a unique layer, and added a blank "custom" overlay in-game for you to save your own design as. The screenshots (pitch black makeup) were taken with the overlays in the "Face Paint" tab. These can't be colored, so you'll need to use the ones in the "Makeup" tab. They're visually identical, save the makeup ones can't be pitch black, and the face paints ones can't be colored.

The next and last important thing to say before I let you go download this, is the sorting I've done with the file names in-game. All the layers have the prefix "GM" (goth makeup) followed by a number and a name. The "GM" is just to keep them all together in the list rather than mixed in with your other overlay mods. The number is what's important to note here. GM00 is the custom overlay, named as such so it's on top (this didn't work how I intended lol but I didn't feel like re-coding the whole thing and reorganizing the file structure to fix it). GM0 are the prebuilt, complete overlays. GM1 are major or large individual textures. GM2 are minor or smaller individual textures. and last but not least, GM3 are the very small tertiary textures. Although I'm sure you could have figured this out by messing around with it in game. Might as well explain it anyway to show there is a method to the madness.

The important information is out of the way, if you don't like reading, feel free to browse the images or click on the files tab.

This mod started out as a simple proof of concept. I'm a fan of black lipstick, and having been an adamant LE player since approx. one week ago, The only way to get black lips was a reddish semi-transparent lipstick from the sliders. Until I found out that SE RaceMenu has a tab called "Face Paints", after which I got my SE properly modded and decided to test it out. From that proof of concept, sprouted this mod. I spent a few days working on the first overlay, which is the bleeding lips and eyes in that above image embedded in the description. Turned out pretty good I must say, though I'm partial. I then made a few others, which, coincidentally, I also think turned out pretty good. The aesthetic influences for these range from goth generally, to specified TradGoth and NeoGoth.

As a side note, Skyrim is getting old, and its age shows in the back-end of modding, especially these types of mods. Trying to get the lines straight, especially around the cheeks, is literally ("literally" meaning literally, not literally meaning figuratively) impossible, so forgive me for that. The way the game bends the skin texture results in sharp corners on face overlays like these.
Truly First World problems.

These textures were created with GIMP and Paint.NET because I'm not buying photoshop and I'm far too lazy to [noun for a 17th century sea-farer that says "arrg"] it. Plus, stealing from Adobe (net worth US$20.76 billion (2019)) would be morally wrong.

I also included the RaceMenu preset of the character in the screenshots as an optional file. She's currently my most refined face preset to date. In order to get that same look, you'll need Bijin skin, and KS hairs is a requirement, otherwise she'll be bald.

Last, but certainly not least, here's a few of the mods shown in the screenshots

COCO Lingerie - CBBE-TBD-BHUNP SE

Undies - SSE CBBE BodySlide (with Physics)

Bijin Skin UNP and CBBE SE

Smooth Combat - Non Combat Animation System
