Changelogs
Version 1.1.0
Added a version of the mod for Apothecary. Accordingly, the mod page has been renamed as "Spell Research - Archetype Elixirs Renamed."
Renamed the CACOfied elixir of silence as "ede epemagicka," to match the better Ayleidoon name I chose while making the Apothecated version's own silence elixir.
Corrected the Ayleidoon suffix for the Fortify Illusion elixir, now named, "agea ceybala."
Version 1.0.0
Initial upload.
A potentially overlooked feature of Spell Research is the ability to boil down artifacts and alchemical ingredients to receive esoteric solutions embodying one of the archetypes of spell-building. Rarer ingredients and more powerful artifacts can be reduced to more potent solutions, or several solutions of the same potency can be concentrated into a bottle of the next tier of their type. These can be studied to learn more about their associated spell-crafting archetype - alternatively, combinations of three of these can be mixed together to create an elixir which isolates a single alchemical effect.
This mod serves, primarily, as a patch for either Apothecary or CACO, giving these elixirs effect magnitudes fitting those in the relevant alchemy overhaul. In the case of CACO, where rarer ingredients can be used to make more powerful potions, the most concentrated elixirs will typically be your second- or third-best choice in terms of power, retaining the value of the rarest ingredients like daedric hearts.
In addition to the strictly necessary patching, I've also renamed the elixirs so they'll alphabetize themselves from most to least concentrated, much like the naming convention for potions in CACO. And to differentiate between different elixirs, I've given them a suffix in Ayleidoon, similar to the names of the solutions used in their making. Finally, the elixirs have a non-zero monetary value, in case you need to sell a few off.
