The Temple of Mara: a beacon of benevolence amidst the blighted, sinful sewers of Riften. This is one of my favorite locations in the game, thanks in no small part to the ability to get married here - but the quests to do good in Mara's name are another compelling feature. Still, for all of the charity and goodwill that is possible thanks to the Temple, there was just one thing the priests of Mara couldn't help a struggling adventurer with: finding a place to sleep.

Until now.


This mod simply removes the ownership status on the beds normally occupied by Dinya Balu and Briehl in the southwestern room of the Temple, allowing the player - and anyone else who may be in need of a bed - a place to sleep. (They will still sleep there if the beds are otherwise unoccupied.) Surely the priests of Mara are virtuous enough to give up this singular comfort for the sake of helping those in need.

Consequently, Sleep at the Temple of Mara should be compatible with every mod that doesn't edit the interior of the Temple of Mara out of the box. It's also compatible with JK's The Temple of Mara. Other mods that edit the interior may require additional resolution, but in most cases that should be as simple as letting them overwrite this one (as is the case with lighting mods).
