In vanilla Skyrim, you'll always fail shouts while falling or swimming. This is a plugin that counteracts that.
Ever wanted to Become Ethereal mid-air?
How does it work?
When the player's Shout keybind is detected as pressed, the mod waits for release while keeping track of how long the button's held down to gauge the desired shout power level. Then, if the player's shout cooldown timer is still 0 after release, it assumes that the game didn't register the shout because the player was either falling or swimming, and casts the shout's effects manually.
Why is it in Beta?
While this mod fully supports mid-air and underwater shouts, this version doesn't support the actual "shout" audio. Shouts performed while standing on the ground will still have their original audio, but mid-air and swimming shouts won't. Creation Kit doesn't let you interact with the audio for the shouts, and Papyrus doesn't either as far as I'm aware, so to bring this mod out of beta I'll have to change the actual code that Bethesda wrote. Currently I have no idea how to do so, but it should be possible (similarly to howAchievement Mod Enablerdoes so). Hopefully I can update this mod in the future, but in the meantime if someone with more expertise would like to help/take over I'd be down.
Misc notes
You're also given an Illusion spell called MidAirShouts Toggler. You can toggle this mod on/off by casting it.
Some shouts aren't supported due to buggy behavior:
Dragon Aspect: issues with implementing its "once a day use" restriction.
Whirlwind Sprint: as far as I'm aware, this shout's effects are hard-coded into the game, so I can't dummy-cast it like the other shouts.
Summon Durnehviir: this shout's effect only works if the player is looking at a place on the ground where Durnehviir can be successfully summoned, and I had issues implementing a way to detect this, so when using this shout with an invalid target this mod would just give you the shout cooldown without casting its effect.
All other shouts should work with this mod - please let me know of any bugs you come across!

Known issues
Because the conditions for this mod to cast a shout relies on the player's shout cooldown timer, if you have the shout cooldown modifier set to 0% (infinite shouts) then you'll shout two times every keypress with this mod enabled.
