About the mod

The reason I made this mod is because I like to play on Legendary and the issues I have with vanilla Legendary is that Vanilla - Spells - Deal - Zero - Damage. The game on this difficulty basically revolves around stunlocking and blasting bullet sponges day in and day out. Even overhauls like Ordinator and extra buffs from Andromeda and Imperious DO NOT suffice on Legendary. So I though, let's fix that with one or two mods. This being the first one, by adding spells that actually DO DAMAGE for a price (and that price is Mana Cost) and by changing the mind-boggling decision to make Dual cast magnitude so pathetic.

Vanilla Dual Cast: +10% damage for +40% mana cost
Spellmaster Dual Cast: +20% damage for +40% mana cost

The second mod I mentioned (and recommend) is Disenchanting and Artifact Overhaul. It gives you a few more toys to play with as a Mage. For now mainly the Archmage Robes that give Destruction spell damage (disenchantable), giving you the option to actually scale your spell damage by either wearing the robes or enchanting your gear. Additionally, for you Staff enthusiasts, it reworks the Staff of Magnus that now has a Perk "Spells deal double damage when equipped" making your spells strong and giving you a Strong staff to boot.

FAQ

  • Is it compatible with x/y? Yes, but only if it doesn't modify the Atronach forge recipes and if it doesn't change the Dual Cast multiplier.
  • Can't Buy the spells from merchants? Spells below Master can be bought from regular world merchants. Master spells are only sold by Faralda once you complete the Destruction quest and can be crafted at the Atronach forge.
  • Where Atronach forge? Below College of Winterhold.
  • The ID for the Tomes doesn't work? The "##" inside the ID represents the Mod Index. This number can be different for everyone. After you install this mod you can find this number inside Vortex or MO2 under plugins.
