This is Rusher. He's almost identical to the vanilla horses in Skyrim (making him an extremely lightweight mod) except for one main difference. He runs like he stole something!
Impress the ladies (and gents!) with the speed of your steed!
He's automatically player-owned, so you just have to pick him up in Riverwood. He'll stay where you left him, though he has a tendency to show up when you fast travel.
He's fast, but like a real horse (or at least one in the movies, I don't know any real horses), and not absurdly, uncontrollably fast. I've been riding a modded horse for over a year, my whole time in Skyrim VR, because I could never deal with how slow the vanilla nags were.
I'm big on mounted archery in Skyrim VR and he's perfect for that.
He's also essential (can't die), and will hoof anything in the face.
He comes with 2 texture replacements, one to make himself (and the Whiterun stable horses) actually black and not brown. The other is a much nicer re-texture of the vanilla saddle. Both of these will replace the vanilla textures, so if for some specific reason you don't want that (they're not 4k or anything), just choose the manual installation, and delete the Textures folder from the archive before you install him. Easy. :)
If his name looks familiar, he's named after the Gunslinger's horse from the fourth book of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. It fits him perfectly though!

In Riverwood, straddling like 4 different people's yards, so there should be no wandering around trying to find him!
