I made this patch after encountering dark faces on many NPCs in Winterhold while using both ICOW and Northbourne NPCs of Winterhold. It resolves visual conflicts between the two mods, making Northbourne's visuals appear and not those of ICOW.
It works for my setup, but it bears mentioning that I basically have no idea what I'm doing. I spent several hours learning how to make a patch and this is the product of that work. It may work for you, it may not work for you, it may break your game, etc. I have no idea and implore you to try it only if you're willing to accept that risk. I haven't noticed any issues or oversights, but it's certainly possible that I missed something.

The patch is just an ESP plugin, so install via mod manager should work. Activate it and place it beneath ICOW and Northbourne NPCs of Winterhold in your load order.
This should go without saying, but it requires ICOW and Northbourne NPCs of Winterhold.
