Version 1.0.0a
Initial Release
Spoiled Rotten is a super-lightweight gameplay mod that introduces spoiled variants of various foodstuffs. It is heavily inspired by the additions present in Realistic Needs & Diseases.
It doesn't need patches, taking advantage of Base Object Swapper and SkyPatcher for seamless integration into the world.
It serves as a balance mod for those using needs mods. It can also help improve balance when using the excellent Dynamic Things Alternative mod, without needing to disable interactive barrels and/or other containers. For those who don't use needs mods, it may also serve as a source of immersion and flavour.
Mind that it does not add a spoilage system, choosing a static approach. Fresh food will always be fresh, spoiled food will always be spoiled. You may prefer this for balance, or prefer it for performance. Otherwise Simple Food Spoilage System might be more up your street.
• Uses SkyPatcher to inject spoiled items seamlessly into the world, both into vanilla containers and Dynamic Things Alternative containers • Base Object Swapper support, replacing food items in dungeons and other locations where spoiled food thematically makes sense • Through these changes it effectively reduces the chance of finding edible food items in these barrels by around 66%, without increasing the chance of them being empty • All spoiled items lack value, damage a small amount of health when eaten, and have a small amount of hunger restoration associated with them (in the way of survival effects) • An optional module to add food poisoning when eating the spoiled foods. This module includes a small, very light papyrus script that fires only when consuming spoiled foods. Food poisoning includes a chance to contract rattles. Zero performance impact, as the script only fires when eating food. • Custom textures for the spoiled items, with meshes derived from Brumbek's SMIM!
