About this mod

Removes snowy layers from the interiors of the most commonly used shacks.

As you all probably, during winter Seasons of Skyrim adds a snowy layer to pretty much everything that's in the open. Which, the way the game is designed, includes some spots that should be at least partly covered. This is especially noticeable in the case of shacks that are either inhabited by NPCs or common choices for those who like a humble starting home. Since Seasons allows users to create a custom .ini file to prevent selected items from getting snowy, I went and did just that, selecting all relevant objects one by one until the places were reasonably snow-free.

It's not a 100% perfect solution - walls and frames are still a bit icy since I could not edit the interior without also changing the exterior, and admittedly the snow stops too abruptly at the entrance. If someone wants to make a more blended option I'm all for it, but by now IMO it beats having people sleeping in the snow like it was normal.

The edited locations are:

- Alchemist's Shack - common choice as a starting home, also a few mods add people living there
- Anise's Cabin - inhabited
- Angi's Camp - inhabited
- Crabber's Shanty - inhabited
- Hunter's Rest - inhabited
- Meeko's Shack - abandoned, but possible choice as a starting home, and the structure looks reasonably solid even in vanilla
- Riverside's Shack - admittedly in a bad shape, but after killing that sabercat you deserve a place where you can sleep, right?

How to use it:
Download manually, extract, drop inside your Seasons of Skyrim / Seasons folder.

"But - someone may argue - those places have holes all over their structure, and even when undamaged the roof meshes look very leaky".
Aren't they like that just because originally the game couldn't tell how to keep the rain out of them? I had already addressed the issue some time ago, see Shack Roofs Restored. I'm also working on an additional mod that improves the integrity of the aforementioned locations (I haven't published it yet because it's currently part of my personal megapatch, and before splitting it I want to make sure nothing else needs to be added). Meanwhile, I am using Better Living For Angi, and so should you. :)

Talking about which - I made an additional ini file for Better Living For Angi, since it adds a few more objects, and also for 3DNPC, which adds a couple of similar buildings (I am talking about Lorne's Shack and Greenwood Shack; the latter also exists in vanilla but there it doesn't even have a floor so there isn't much to do).

I have no plans to edit all possible bandit camps, nor Hrodulf's house in Solstheim since it looks more heavily damaged than others, however if you think there's some other spot that needs attention, both in vanilla Skyrim and in 3DNPC, let me know.

I am not taking requests for all possible mods (sorry, I only patch stuff I want to use) but if you need help reverse engineering my files just ask.
