I've already uploaded a fix for the Silver Crossbows, but after play-testing and improving that fix to perfection, I realised I could perhaps attempt to rework a bit how and why silver weapons work.

This mod plays around 3 different things:

-Silver Crossbows as shipped with the Expanded Crossbows Creation provide absolutely no silver related damage bonus. I thought that was pretty dissapointing, so I decided I'd right this wrong myself in one of two ways, the choice of which falls upon you, the dear User, thanks to a thorough FOMOD :)

There are two options, Immersive or Simple.
Immersive makes it so Silver Crossbows only have an effect if you have the Silver Bolts from the Rare Curios Creation equipped.
Simple makes it so Silver Crossbows do extra silver damage, no conditions.

-The way Silver weapons work in vanilla is pretty boring. A flat added amount of damage provides absolutely no dynamic impact or even incentive to use them, since they'll get outscaled by more boring weapon materials anyways. So I simply implemented a multiplicative bonus to your weapon damage instead. In some cases it might be weaker, but it can get a lot more potent when combined with power attacks and other bonuses. Ergo, dynamic bonus, and scaling to boot!

The Scaling Silver is optional, as with everything. You can choose between Vanilla, x1,25 or x1,5 for your Silver damage style.

-The range of creatures susceptible to silver is fine, but I thought it might be more fun to have silver affect a wider range of magical or cursed creatures, à la Witcher. In a way, it incentivizes you, even if a little bit, to keep a silver weapon with you for these magical creatures, but since they're weak in most other cases, you're also gonna want to keep a real weapon.

The creatures sucseptible to silver with the SIFM option enabled are Undead, Werebeasts, Daedra, Spriggans, Hagravens, Ice Wraiths, Wisps and Gargoyles.

If you're roleplaying as Geralt in Skyrim, this mod is probably a decent download, even if I do say so myself ;)

Of course, if you're just shopping for a mod to fix your Silver Crossbow, and nothing else, the FOMOD will gladly allow you to. I tried to make it as clear and user-friendly as possible, modding is after all about personal choice, and I'm happy to provide just that :)

Simple isn't it? It really is actually, I've got not much else to say ,:)

Version 1.1 adds the optional Tempering addon!
Spoiler:

Vanilla doesn't have tempering recipes for either the Silver Sword or the Silver Greatsword, this addon simply adds tempering recipes for these two weapons.
Also offers the possibility to make all Silver weapons benefit from a smithing perk of your choice! (Requires Keyword Item Distributor).

Version 1.2 adds SE friendly options!

You can now get just the Scaling Silver or expanded susceptible creatures! No Silver Crossbow, no Creations needed ;)

I've managed to do this stuff with as little as 3 edited entries, the two Silver Crossbow variants, and the SilverPerk entry. As long as no other mods touch on that (and you can easily see for yourself through SSEdit when in doubt) it should be maximally compatible, and even if other mods do touch on these entries, you can get away with loading this mod after any other such mods.

Also, as long as modded weapons have the WeapMaterialSilver keyword, then the modified perk will of course apply!

The Tempering addon simply adds two standalone tempering recipes for the Silver Sword and Greatsword, even if another mod adds tempering recipes for these two, you'll simply see two recipes at the grindstone. Not the worst "conflict" imaginable huh ;)
As for the Silver weapons benefitting from smithing perks, I opted to use KID in order to maintain maximum compatibility and distribute the relevant keywords dynamically, it means even your mod added silver weapons should be affected.

I do hope you enjoy it, and don't hesitate to leave me some feedback!
