About this mod

This is a lore friendly makeover of Thrynn the Rogue as a follower. The bandit voice option (Thrynn's default voice type) requires RDO as a master. The male brute voice option is vanilla only. He has a taunt ability that weakens his enemies and custom armor based on Letho's Armor. This is the port of my LE mod.

Thrynn the Rogue Follower

Lore & Background (Source):

Thrynn is a Nord thief and a member of the Thieves Guild in Riften. Before joining the Guild, Thrynn spent three years working with the same bandit clan that would raid villages, rob farms, and rob caravans. However, after attacking a caravan of farmers and rounding up the women and children, Garthek, the clan leader, ordered them to be killed. Thrynn refused, and Garthek ordered Thrynn to be killed as well. Those who were faithful to Thrynn sided with him immediately. The clan then tore itself apart, and Thrynn personally put Garthek's head on a pike. Those that survived went their separate ways.

Personal Take:

Thrynn is perhaps my favorite in the guild as he seems to have a personal code of honor that I admire and I feel deep down he isn't that bad of a guy. He acts as a body guard and close friend to my thief in Skyrim. I like his sarcasm and common sense, and that he is a less typical thief being more the guild muscle then the usual small and agile rogue. I hope you all appreciate this small make-over of him and enjoy his company in Skyrim.

Description:

This is a lore friendly makeover of Thrynn the Rogue as a follower. The bandit voice option (Thrynn's default voice type) requires RDO as a master. The male brute voice option is vanilla only. He has a taunt ability that weakens his enemies and custom armor based on Letho's Armor. This is the port of my LE mod. You still need to do the initial thief guild quests to get to the point where your meet Thrynn and then you can ask him to follow you.

To use his original bandit voice you need RDO otherwise he won't have the dialogue. If you don't wish to use RDO there is a vanilla version but he uses the male brute voice type (i.e. the same one Farkas uses). I made slight tweaks to his features but they were just to fine tune a couple things. Also some small tweaks to skills and a taunt ability that weakens his foes.

To install use your mod manager of choice or manually. There will be no ESL version. If you want one do it yourself. Uninstalling isn't recommended once you have met him with the mod installed.

You may have to ask him to follow then ask to trade with him to get his armor to equip correctly. In testing it sometimes worked normally and sometimes I had to talk to him. I wasn't able to figure out the inconsistency.

Notes:

Bandolier - The bandolier he is wearing in the shots is from the Witcher's Bandoliers Skyrim LE mod. I got permission from Talyn82 to include my SE conversion. Besides uploading the original conversion I also included a file for my custom mesh edits. These edits are only for the SOS male bag version and only for 100% weight. I fixed most of the clipping on the male SOS body set to max weight. It won't auto-scale down to lower weights so will float on males with less then max body size. However, the original version does scale and should be fine for most male bodies. My edits are really only for SOS male at max weight.

Bandana Head Wrap - This is from the The Witcher 2 - Iorveth Light Armor LE mod. Based on the permissions on that page I am allowed to use the assets as long as credit is given to L0rdOfWar and Hucifer. I have converted the mod to SE and uploaded as an optional file. I could have just converted the Bandana and added it to Thrynn's inventory but this way people can enjoy the full outfit and decide if they want the enchanted or un-enchanted version. For the unenchanted bandana search on "Scoia'tael Commando Bandana" and for enchanted search on "Scoia'tael Captain's Bandana" (+20% bow damage). See the original mod for more details.

I only mention them as people often ask and now you know where they are from.
