About this mod

This mod changes the guards to look like they are undead. They are affected by undead damaging spells, however, they still have the normal guard dialogue. There are optional files to change their armor to ancient nord armor. There is an optional file to select which holds you want to have them. Undead FX mod is required.

Hello wonderful people!

I have brought a treat, and certainly not a little trick just in time for spooky season.

I present to you....

Basically, this mod is pretty simple. It changes the guards to look like the Undead and also has an optional file to replace the guards' armor with Ancient Nord/Draugr armor. You are also able to pick and choose which holds you want to have undead guards/armors - this is done by cherry-picking your files in the optional files. I do not have an MCM, unfortunately. Sorry.

By no means is this mod perfect at all. There may be issues. The guards' mouths don't move when they talk. If you are not a stickler for details, then you should enjoy this!

DISCLAIMER
:
--------
On an old save you will need to wait until the guards actor resets to see the changes implemented, so don't be disheartened if you load an old save and dont see the changes right away.

How it works
-------
I have always been a fan of the mod Undead FX by WDog367  -  This mod has been a must-have in my modlist and I love it for my necromancer playthroughs, but usually just keep it on for any/all playthroughs. So a big thank you to WDog367 for the hard work and amazing mod.

Anyways, this mod requires you to download Undead FX. It is a hard master. Without Undead FX - THIS MOD WILL NOT WORK. This mod basically just places the Undead Reanimation Token from Undead FX into all of the guards' inventory, making them appear undead. What's great about that is you can customize the appearance of the undead as well via the Undead FX MCM.  I HIGHLY recommend you read through the description of Undead FX as well to get a better understanding of how the guards are changed to Undead.

I also edited the keywords to make the guards actually be affected by spells/enchantments that harm the undead. So feel free to roleplay your spellsword paladin trying to liberate the undead city.

The guards do not moan/groan like a draugr, they still have normal guard dialogue. This is not due to the fact I didn't want to break quests, it's actually due to the fact that I couldn't figure out how to do it. This is my first mod so go easy on me please.

Installation

-----
The 2 main AIO files will change every guard in Skyrim as an undead, and also change their armor to the draugr armor. However, there are several optional files that allow you to pick and choose which holds will have undead guards and armor. This is great if you want to roleplay a necromancer who overruns a single town and becomes the lord. Yahoo!

Known Issues
---------
Other mods that use EffectShaders to create effects may 'override' the Undead FX, on occasion. Setting the Refresh interval to a low value in Undead FX MCM will help to mitigate this, but may harm performance. ( verbiage taken straight from Wdog367 )

Please note: There may be bugs. I have no idea the extent of them. Please report them if you find them.

All I know is It is working in my game, so I thought I'd share the love.

Also! If you are curious where the Halloween decor came from in the video, please check out All Hallow's Eve: A Halloween Overhaul created by ayrasci.  I was inspired by ayrasci's Halloween mod and it got me wanting the guards to also have an undead feel to them as well, thus me creating this mod. They pair nicely together :)
