Changelogs
Version 1.2
Minor update to improve normal map. Also released Alternate version with alternate UV maps to get rid of Bad looking textures on border areas and center supports of platforms.
Version 1.1
Fixed incorrect env mapping, minimal impact. I can't tell a difference. Fixed impact sounds inherited from original meshes to be metal instead of stone. Added dweptnwallhalfanim01.nif to the dlc02 folder, although seems to be unused.
Finally, after 11 years. 2D Dwemer assets become 3D Dwemer assets.
The vanilla game Dwemer barriers, platforms/bridges, and shelves look allright until you see them at an angle and then it is obvious they are only 2D. Very annoying by today's standards. It was Okay for its time, but this brings it up today's standards.
This adds 3D modeling to these meshes. I gave them a uniquelynamed and slightly modified texture, so the original textures remain unmodified in case someone else needs to use the originals. Or in case the originals are used in something I missed. Safety first!
There may be a (probably minor) performance hit on older machines. I spaced the bars a bit farther apart to reduce poly count. It has been reported that there is no discernable framerate reduction on a 'modest' system.
I think I got everything, but let me know if you find any other 2D objects that need attention.
Only 1 main file needed. Texture options are available. Several patches are available also.
This is a mesh and texture replacer only so it can be removed or uninstalled safely at any time.
